MrGS
None of the battery backup (not save states, I don't use those) saving within my ZSNES games seems to be working when run through gameEx. When I play a game like Super Mario World and use the built in save feature the next time I load the game within gameEx none of the saves are available. It's like I've never played it at all. However, if I just load ZSNES without going through gameEx, the save features work.I'm guessing it's a setting in a config file that's causing the problem but I can't for the life of me think what it could be. I just did a fresh install of gameEx, deleted all the previous configs I could find as well as a fresh install of ZSNES and it still seems to be doing it.Can anyone provide some help? fRequEnCy
This is more likely due to ZSNES not exiting correctly for them to save. I would either remap your exit method within ZSNES or create an Advanced Config and have it send the default exit keys for this emulator.
Adultery
I believe (am about 99.999% sure actually) that there is an option in ZSNES to send the save over anytime it has been changed (as opposed to when the emulator exits). The option should be accessible in the GUI or in the ZSNES.CFG file.

The option should be accessible in the GUI or in the ZSNES.CFG file. You can increase that 100%, that was indeed the problem. Just needed to change the config of the SRAM setting and now it works perfectly. Thanks heaps for that.
Ninja Rygar
Just open up the advanced config for ZSNES, change "Map escape" to "Send keyes on exit" Send "%{F4}" and you'll save everytime.

I knew that was a fix as we've seen it before with other emulators. Also thanks Adultery for that alternative (easier) fix for ZSNES. Glad MrGS got it sorted out. Enjoy and welcome to the forums!
