Latest beta, Windows XP. I can create vanilla MAME's config just fine with command line though so who knows. Maybe someone can post theirs so I can see what is needed in that file and I can make my own?

Or can I use the MAME ini and just change it to make this work?

Here ya go Adultery. It's a new (unedited) config. Click on spoiler and copy and paste contents and save as mame.ini. Posted contents instead of uploading to save on my upload space and so others can view the contents. ;)

Can anyone else see my SF2 game? Upgraded to ClientServerMAME 0.7b, that's all I'm suppose to do right? Just dump the files in my MAME DIR? Haven't seen any other games up in a week or two....?

I'm not sure how many people are playing online ATM, but we should arrange a time to play using the forums.

downloaded and installed.. i will check back every now and then in the 'net play' option to see if anyone is online..

Over time this will hopefully become more active, once users work out how to use it :)

if i request a game and go back and play another game (one player) is it going to prompt me that someone wants to play?

by the way, in the interim i would also check out 'gppo' there isn't a lot of games you can play (around 30) but it's lag free and very active - which is the main thing.

I have integrated this in to game ex and launch it as an external app, but I hope this other integrated version becomes more active soon :)

DG - Feel free to suggest something. I was hoping it would be a bit more active by now but it probably didnt help me moving the topic to the other forum which I moved back this morning.

I just wish I could get it to work. :(

I can't seem to make it create my config file...

for those who have vista or windows seven you have to execute the command promp in "administrator mode" for the mame.ini put your file somewhere like c:\vmame then in the command prompt type cd.. cd.. cd.. til you are in the c:\ only ..then type cd vmame now the vmame folder is on so imput the command vmame.exe -cc ,if you did it in admin mode it will work and your file should be in your vmame folder

Just for info. I never created a config and it always worked for me. I dont believe a config is required if you already have one for another mame build.

well there is your IP adress in the mame.ini wich is needed i guess but i may be wrong ...

I believe GameEx takes care of that or how else would it work?;)

ok i guess your right but i will continue to use mame.ini annyway :P i need it to enable cheat in my mame built and also there is some tweak option in it

i was just replying to someone who needed help about that mame.ini ,i'm not the one asking

mame.ini is my choice of running things as well as it handles all the settings with out having to set everything in the command-line.

Yes I was aware you weren't askin but I was just commenting on your comment. ;)
