Gameex arcade trouble resuming from sleep

I swear this was working fine but now whenever I resume from sleep gameex is just frozen, it’s actually still running fine I can hear inputs being made and scrolling around but the picture is frozen solid where I left it when putting the computer to sleep. Only way to exit since I can’t see is force close through alt tab screen. This is windows 10. Log is not showing anything unusual, just normal operation.

Sounds like it's crashing as it tries to rebuild the GameEx GUI.  Has anything occurred that would affect DirectX on this machine?

Tom has pointed out in the past it could be a conflict key between MAME and GameEx, you might want to check for this.

As always, update GameEx after any changes.

Not sure what you mean? Nothing has changed granted I only tried sleep a handful of times and it worked as I was waiting to install a dedicated button on the cab for it. Now that I have the button installed this is the problem... I’m using it as a shortcut to press win+x, u, s. Thinking that was the issue I set the screensaver mode on Gameex to suspend the system and the same problem occurs and that is what I had used before without issue.

If it just started with the addition of the button and the key mapping then it sure sounds to me like the likely culprit is a conflict of key strokes.

Try this, when it locks up do a cntrl>alt>delete, but then just X out of the task manager without doing anything and tab through until you get back to GameEx and see if it resumes working normally.

I am unable to bring up task manager or alt tab to it because Gameex is taking over the screen. Alt tabbing and clicking the x on gameex window is my only option. Now like I said setting Gameex screensaver to suspend causes the same results so I don’t see how me adding a button broke it? The key combo for the new button is controlled by xpadder anyways not Gameex or Mame. You think xpadder could be the issue?

I don't use xpadder, so I don't know enough to comment.

It just seems odd that once this was introduced that things went south and now it seemingly won't go back the where it was even if  you remove the configuration change.  You might want to try and install GameEx back over itself and see if it's just a hiccup, which is how the updating process works.  Alternatively, wait see if anyone else chimes in that has perhaps experienced what you are currently.
