HSM
I'm not sure if I have a problem or if my expectations are just too high. Regardless of theme and regardless of the emulator, from the time I select the game until it loads it upwards of 30-60 seconds. Latest versions of GameEx, Mame, VisualPin, etc. Is there a tweak I'm missing or is this just the way it is? There is an error in the background log, not sure what that's about. Thanks in advance. log.txt GameEx.ini background_log.txt
Tom Speirs
Hi, It does sound like something is wrong there. Although it may just be GameEx doing what It does to try and hide Windows. Please try and see how long it takes launching data/runitgame.bat and also please try from gameex after temporarily renaming hideos.exe PS: Visual Pinball does normally take a while anyway and newer games in MAME can take a few. Laserdisc games also started up slow on the originals.

HSM
The last update fixed my load time problems. Everything is loading almost immediately. Thanks!
Tom Speirs
I wonder if its because of the new 64 bit version. It installs by default unless you tell it not too. If you get a chance could you do me a favour and install 32 bit and tell me if the issue is still fixed please? Thanks. Tom.
HSM
I believe the difference is the 64 bit version. The last automatic upgrade brought back the slow load times, perhaps it installs the 32 bit version? I downloaded and re-installed with 64 bit checked and everything is fine again. Draco1962
I believe Tom reversed it from forcing the 64-bit install by default.
