Christian Sieder
Since I upgraded to PbX 3.x, the backglasses of VPX tables do not longer appear in the preview screen (wheel window) when I scroll through my tables ( or while PBX shows random tables). Once the table is loaded, everything is fine and the backglass is there (except for some, few tables, e.g. BSD, BoP, but this seems to be a different problem). With the earlier Versions of PBX (2.x) the backglasses where shown and I enyoyed watching when PBX scrolled through them, but now only the table images appear, the backglass screen stays black. My settings in the Visual Pinball.xml are <hidebackglass>True and <enabled>True, not quite shure what these parameters do, but changing them did not solve the problem. Tom Speirs
Please read up on the 64 bit changes in the latest pinballx. Thanks. Tom
Christian Sieder
Thanks' Tom! Latest version change log says "Fixes x64 install on Windows 7 and below.", is that what you are referring to? (if not, could you please provide a link?) Just installed the latest version (3.06), unfortunately the problem still persists, backglasses are still not shown in the preview. Also on my machine the installation does not terminate normally, it hangs at the end when it says "installing visual c" and I have to terminate manually using the Task Manager. However, still the installantion seems to be complete, besides the backglass problem everything runs fine.
Draco1962
I think Tom may have meant to read this announcement: Of note, if any of your apps or plugins (e.g., PinDMD2 version of XDMD, B2S Backglass, etc.) are not of 64-bit architecture, you must force install the 32-bit version. Christian Sieder
With forced 32bit Installation, backglasses are shown again, problem solved. Thanks' a lot!!
Draco1962
Glad that sorted things for you. As newer apps and plugins are written to address 64 bit, it will be less of an issue.
