Carny_Priest
4K might be too much especially if you are playing attract videos on multiple screens. If you are going that route, try reducing FPS on the source video. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Nutmegz
I too am running 4k with two 1080 screens. Not sure why this is too much with a 1080 GPU and 32 GB of ram. I can run the games just fine. Seems like a limitation of pinballX.
funkyman
The attract videos are still in standard def, but PinballX is running in 4k. I know scaling is done, so it shouldn't be that bad. I have to agree that this callstack is a lead. I'd be happy to trace it back, but I don't have source code
funkyman
Not to Hijack this thread - but I also have an open thread about loading instructions when running 4k resolution. Nutmegz, would you mind trying this and reporting back? I don't know many people running actual 4k! https://www.gameex.info/forums/topic/20657-100-crash-pinball-x-4k-tv-instruction-cards/ I'd be curious if you also crash opening instruction cards while running 4k (3840x2160) main monitor and 1080p 2nd monitor. Might take several times opening/closing them on various tables, but still an issue for me! Thanks!
Nutmegz
Do you have an instruction card I could try?
funkyman
Quote Do you have an instruction card I could try? I assume you use the online import for the GameManager.exe? if so, you should have all the instruction cards already. Just hit "i" (default keyboard button) to pull them up! Thanks again for trying!
