Joey_2001
Why PinballX start tables so awfully slow? If I start a table (VPX or VPT) directly, it takes 3 to 5 seconds. When I start the same tables with PinballX, it takes nearly 50 seconds! What happened in PinballX, that slows down the start so dramatically? Draco1962
Can you please attach copies of the pinballx.ini and log.txt files? Also, would be good to know what codecs you are using, type media, etc.
Joey_2001
Hi, here are the log.txt and the PinballX.ini to check. And here is a link to a short video of the start of the VPX-table (4 MB) "Rolling Stones". Normal start 2 seconds from double-click, start in PinballX around 40 seconds. I have the normal Win10-Codecs and install addtional the VLC. That's all As media-types: png, jpg, f4v. As I see in the log.txt, it takes 34 seconds between opening the vpx-table to start vpauto.exe! Draco1962
Not sure about the loading times, but you should also install the LAV codecs which is recommended. Download and install from the link provided, run PinballX again and load a few tables and provide a new copy of your log.txt file.
Joey_2001
OK, I have installed the codecs, but as I suspected, this has no effect. It's always 34 seconds to start vpauto.exe. 13:54:52.6 18.06.2017: D:\Pinballs\Visual Pinball\VPinball.exe /play -"D:\Pinballs\Visual Pinball\Tables\Abra Ca Dabra (Gottlieb 1971).vpt" 13:55:26.1 18.06.2017: D:\Pinballs\PinballX\vpauto.exe How many seconds do you need to start a table?
