Joppnl
Hello, can I ask for your support ? When selecting and loading VPX Star Trek LE (Hanibal V1.7) I got the error message Machine "st_161h'() terminated before initialized, check the rom path or rom file" It's the kind of error you get when you don't have the correct rom in the rom subdir. But, of course, when starting this table directly within VPX everything is ok so the correct ROM is there and it's working fine so it seems that PinballX is doing 'something'. This is the only table so far giving this problem, other VPX tables start right with PinballX. Here are my ini and log files: Spoiler locating device: FAIL () creating connection: FAIL () Spoiler [Display] Monitor=0 rotate=270 Windowed=False WindowWidth=480 WindowHeight=720 WindowX=0 WindowY=65 PlayFieldBrightness=230 WheelTextColor=ff0000ff WheelTextOutlineColor=ff000000 InfoTextColor=ffff0000 InfoTextOutlineColor=ff000000 FilterTextColor=ff00ff00 FilterTextOutlineColor=ff000000 MenuColor=ffffa500 FullScreenWindowed=False [BackGlass] monitor=1 x=0 y=0 width=1920 height=1080 UseB2S=False [DMD] Enabled=False monitor=1 x=525 y=850 width=875 height=200 [FileSystem] EnableFileMatching=False [Interface] DesktopModeEnabled=False EnableAdditionalDetail=True ShowSystem=True ShowRatings=False OneClickLaunch=True EnableDefaultFilters=False [Audio] StreamVolume=40 SampleVolume=30 PlaySoundInVideos=True [Startup] playsound=False playvideo=False StartWithWindows=No [KeyCodes] quit=76 left=81 right=65 select=49 rotate=82 pageleft=87 pageright=83 exitemulator=76 ingame=74 screenshot=80 screenshotbackglass=66 instructions=73 volumedown=190 volumeup=188 credit=53 plunger=164 [JoyCodes] quit=10 left=0 right=1 select=2 rotate=3 pageleft=4 pageright=5 exitemulator=6 ingame=13 instructions=14 [Text] Line1=Free Play Line2=Press Start [FuturePinball] Enabled=False WorkingPath=h:\-PINBALL-\-FUTURE PINBALL- TablePath=h:\-PINBALL-\-FUTURE PINBALL-\Tables Executable=Future Pinball.exe Parameters=/open "[TABLEPATH]\[TABLEFILE]" /play /exit /arcaderender LaunchBeforeEnabled=false LaunchBeforeWorkingPath= LaunchBeforeExecutable=notepad.exe LaunchBeforeHideWindow=False LaunchBeforeWaitForExit=True LaunchAfterEnabled=False LaunchAfterWorkingPath= LaunchAfterExecutable=notepad.exe LaunchAfterHideWindow=False LaunchAfterWaitForExit=True MouseClickFocus=True [VisualPinball] Enabled=True WorkingPath=D:\Program Files\Visual Pinball TablePath=D:\Program Files\Visual Pinball\Tables Executable=VPinball991.exe Parameters=/play -"[TABLEPATH]\[TABLEFILE]" LaunchBeforeEnabled=false LaunchBeforeWorkingPath= LaunchBeforeExecutable=notepad.exe LaunchBeforeHideWindow=False LaunchBeforeWaitForExit=True LaunchAfterEnabled=False LaunchAfterWorkingPath= LaunchAfterExecutable= LaunchAfterHideWindow=False LaunchAfterWaitForExit=True NVRAMPath=D:\Program Files\Visual Pinball\VPinMame\nvram [ExitScreen] Enabled=True EnableExit=True EnableShutdown=False [StartupProgram] Enabled=True WorkingPath=c:\Program Files\iRotate Executable=iRotate.exe Paramaters= HideWindow=true WaitForExit=False Parameters=/1:rotate=0 [ExitProgram] Enabled=True WorkingPath=c:\Program Files\iRotate Executable=iRotate.exe Paramaters= HideWindow=True WaitForExit=False Parameters=/1:rotate=90 [AttractMode] Enabled=True Timer=1 ShowFor=15 [System_1] Name=Pinball FX2 Enabled=False WorkingPath=C:\Steam TablePath=C:\Steam\Tables Executable=PinballFX.exe Parameters= [System_2] Name=MAME Enabled=False WorkingPath=C:\- EMULATORS -\- MAME - TablePath=C:\ Executable=mamep64.exe Parameters=[TABLEFILE] [AutoExit] Enabled=False Minutes=10 [Login] Enabled=False [Internal] lastselected=Star Trek LE (Stern) (2013) (Hanibals 4k Asteroid Mod) (1.7)VPX Star Trek LE (Stern) (2013) (Hanibals 4k Asteroid Mod) (1.7)System_4 filter_year= filter_company= filter_custom= filtername=Tables lastwheelcachematchsize=-1123 [SetupWizard] EmuPath1=C:\Emulators AssetPath1=C:\Assets RomPath1=C:\Roms DefaultPathPrompt=True DownloadDatabasePrompt=True DownloadEmulatorPrompt=True WizardMode=1 CustomArray= SearchArray= SavePosition=False SectionIndex=5 SearchText= EmulatorIndex=0 EmulatorGroupIndex=0 DaphneIndex=0 HTMLAppsIndex=0 ExternalAppsIndex=0 RadioStationsIndex=0 NewsFeedsIndex=0 MappedDrivesIndex=0 SystemIndex=3 ShowPanel=True FontSize=1 WindowState=0 WindowSize=946,799 WindowLocation=42,770 [GameListManager] onlinemode=false [Plugin_1] Enabled=True Name=PlugInLED.dll [Plugin_2] Enabled=False Name=PlugInSpeech.dll [Plugin_3] Enabled=False Name=QuickLaunch (PinballX Edition).dll [Plugin_4] Enabled=False Name=Xpadder Plugin.dll [System_3] Name=PM5 WorkingPath=D:\Program Files\Visual Pinball\ TablePath=D:\Program Files\Visual Pinball\Tables\PM5 Executable=vpinball-physmod5-accelmod-8-20-2014.exe Enabled=True SystemType=1 Parameters=/play -"[TABLEPATH]\[TABLEFILE]" LaunchBeforeEnabled=False LaunchAfterEnabled=False [RealDMD] EnableColor=True [System_4] Name=VPX WorkingPath=D:\Program Files\Visual Pinball\ TablePath=D:\Program Files\Visual Pinball\Tables\VPX Executable=vpinballx.exe Parameters=/play -"[TABLEPATH]\[TABLEFILE]" Enabled=True SystemType=1 LaunchBeforeEnabled=False LaunchAfterEnabled=False I do see a fail in the log file: what I did I deleted the game with the game manager, deleted also all the media-files connected to it and I did add it again to the game manager and added all the media again: same result. Any clue what this could cause? Thank you!
Carny_Priest
Are you running with real DMD?
Joppnl
Running a Pin2DMD As you ask: I disabled in the F1 menu "use external display" and tried it again but same results (although the device.dll driver for the display remains the same, didn't change that) Thanks for your answer
Carny_Priest
Are you running the dmddevice.dll that comes from the VPM package or are you running the one from freezy? It might be useful if you temporarily disabled b2s, just to see if the PinballX will launch the table successfully if the backglass were not involved. Which version of the st le table are you running. Fren's original or the Hannibal mod? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Joppnl
I'm running the latest device.dll I got from Lucky1's topic on VPU (Pin2Dmd Colorprism V2.0 Firmware). And running table from Hanibal (4K asteroid mod V1.7) When I disable dB2s (in the script change the server to "1" (line 8: cController = Vpinmame when it's 1) it looks like the table is running fine! (but no BG off course). I must say...things are getting weird now....with the BG enabled: very sometimes even starting directly in VPX I have this rom-error and very sometimes when starting in PinballX it does work......... So...with BG enabled I guess 1 or 2 out-of-10 a direct start in VPX won't work and a indirect start from PBX WILL work..... But: disabeling the dB2S will start the table without any doubt when started indirectly by PBX, does that give you a clue? Thank you for your support! PS: my system is a Win7/32bit 4Gb with a HD7950 3Gb videocard. Could it have anything to do with a memory shortage?
Draco1962
Do you have the full Catalyst Software Suite WITH the Gaming Evolved Client by Raptr installed? While you may not be experiencing any crashes, it has also been implicated with other display issues. Just a thought.

But tonight..very sometimes it works fine even after direct quitting and restarting it restarts perfect but other times, even just after rebooting the PC it just won't start, rom error. So....if there are some thoughts about this.....thanks in advance
