szerr
Did I lose rights for theme downloads when I upgraded to newest version of Gamex? I had downloaded different themes before with no issues. I am almost certain I downloaded some after the cutoff date at the end of 2013. It is not a huge issue as I will more than likely upgrade to the Gamex Lifetime Membership anyway. It has been well worth the small price I paid years ago for the Founding membership. Just looking for clarification on the "additional download/upload allowance." Thanks for any help! Standard Member Titles: Basic Member - Created a forum account, but has not purchased anything or purchased previously but does not currently have a subscription. GameEx Founding Member - Has a lifetime license of legacy GameEx but are otherwise basic members with additional download/upload allowance. Supporting Member - Purchased 1 year of access to GameEx Online and FTP features but has not purchased a GameEx license GameEx Supporting Member - Purchased a license of GameEx, and has GameEx Online/FTP access for a period of time GameEx Lifetime Member - Purchased a lifetime license of GameEx with lifetime online access after August 1, 2013 , and has access to GameEx Online/FTP features * Transference of Lifetime Licenses: Users with GameEx Lifetime member title will be rolled over to a full lifetime license of GameEx Evolution with lifetime online access. If the user does not have that member title (and does not have a special member title such as Contributor or Elite), they will need to purchase a new license or upgrade for GameEx Evolution. Themes, and in fact any user created content have always been free to members. Period. License or not. There is however access to some awesome downloads, reserved for people who donate. And quite rightly so
tthurman
Hey szerr, nice to see you posting. My understanding is in line with Dazzle's. You should be able to download from the via the site themes., etc., but be limited to uploading on the FTP. The difference comes in on how much you can transfer daily, so say you wanted the MAME pack, but since it's so big, downloading it will require a subscription. I just logged in on my test account and downloaded a theme as a basic user, so I'm not sure why you wouldn't be able to pull down a theme (or anything up to whatever the cut off limited is)
szerr
I switched to a new computer and am still working on the setup. I am getting this window when I try to download. Any ideas? I opened the key so should have rights.....
szerr
I bought the lifetime membership and now am able to download Themes from within the setup wizard. Everything downloads and now the theme is available to choose in the theme selection menu. For some reason if I pick one of the downloaded theme it gives me an error report. I did hit send on the error report. I do not receive the error if I go back into the setup wizard and choose one of the default themes. The specific themes I have downloaded are Wargames, Confluence Port, and Hitchhiker. Windows also locks up if I try and access the theme picker within GameEx without going into the configuration.
