Raitsa
I sort of fixed this although my solution is not very ideal: i left the old school PS2 keyboard plugged in in the cabinet + X-Arcade but i no longer use the PS2 keyboard, using a USB keyboard only now. Raitsa
Tom, could you please add an option to GameEx Arcade Edition to turn off PC to the Exit GameEx menu just like GameEx has? Or is it there already as a configurable option, I am not sure..?
Magus
Hi I am currently using standard GameEx, I have some console emus set up, but not MAME yet. Was just about to start setting up MAME then I saw this. Is Arcade Edition meant to integrate into or run side by side to GameEx? Or is it best to only install one or the other? Thanks! Raitsa
You can install Arcade Edition only if you wish, GameEx not needed.
Raitsa
Guys, anybody tried to use http://arcade.mameworld.info/ with GameEx Arcade Edition? I havent been able to make it work, Arcade64 runs great on its own though.
Tom Speirs
Hi It won't work. It's gui only as far as I know. Gameex already filters those games anyway. You can also Just compile mame as arcade only with headkazes mame compiler.
Raitsa
Thanks for the reply Tom, ok. I have slight problem cos the GameEX screensaver function seems to show adult games despite those being filtered in the settings out and thats a drag cos there is a 7 year old kid in the family. Tom Speirs
I'll take a look. Do they show outside of the screen saver?
Raitsa
No they do not.
Tom Speirs
They both use the same data. All I can think is it is a few obscure games that are not in catver.ini. You could try the latest version.

Is there a way to link them somehow? I.e. replace the normal GameEx MAME interface with arcade edition?
Raitsa
You can install both but they are standalone programs, you cant really mix em up like you describe. Use the one you like more.
