Jodannar
Well it hasn't been thy issue for a long time and we can't rename the thread. Issue was table videos freezing when scrolling. Tables now fine, occurs on backglass. Likely a similar but different issue and cause Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Jodannar
INI file. The first backglass video will always play, scrolling to others I get a black screen, where there is a video labelled correctly. Closeing pinball and starting on the "blank" backglass table, the backglass video loads successfully. PinballX.ini

Draco1962
Is this on all tables from the main PinballX menu? Are you using the LAV codecs? Can you create and attach a video of this in action? What format are the videos in?
Jodannar
Golden birds, Gorgar and f1 all have videos set correctly. First 2 tables scrolled through show correct video. 3rd shows a still of the first. Same behaviour as I was getting on the Playfield videos previously. Edit: waiting on youtube upload for video. Will only let me attach 1MB here
Draco1962
Still need answers to the questions answered as this may be similar but different and so we don't need to dig through the last thread. Thanks!
Jodannar
Yes, LAV filters installed. All backglass videos. Whichever table you start on works, one scrolled to after that works. 3rd table gives still image of first table video. Videos are flv format, the same as the table videos used. PinballX running as administrator. No compatibility modes, Windows 10. https://youtu.be/RJ8rfvIkM1E
Jodannar
interestingly, if I set pinball to run in a window for the main screen, the other 2 windows for dmd and backglass appear on the primary monitor also. changing back to fullscreen moves them to their respective monitors. Draco1962
While flv videos should work ok, I wonder if mp4 might work better? I use mp4 with no problems.
Jodannar
Everything is actually mp4. Backglass and table. Forgot that I re-recorded everything into MP4 after the table video issue. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Umpa
So I did some looking and it seems I had use B2s enabled in settings for backglass. I disabled that and it is now working as it did before. My mistake.

Thanks Umpa for letting us know the solution to this issue for you! @Jodannar - Do you have use B2S enabled in your settings for backglass? Please try disabling this setting and report back if any improvement. Thanks!
Jodannar
B2s disabled causes the videos to play and stall. With b2s enabled the videos obviously aren't used and b2s works. I want to use videos for backglass in pinballx and for pinballfx2 tables. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Draco1962
Sorry but it isn't obvious to me as I do not run B2S yet. I'm not sure that I can be of any help so will defer to the others with more experience.
Carny_Priest
How long does it usually take for the backglass video to stall? Does it only happen when you are scrolling or does it also happen when you are in attract mode? What was the source of your videos?
Jodannar
Can leave it running on a table when first loaded and it will run forever. When you scroll to the 2nd table, it's video will also work forever. Third table displays a still from the first tables video (where it left off) It does happen in attract mode, when it swaps tables. Carny_Priest
For me it is table videos that freeze, but it's not predictable when it will freeze or on what table it will freeze. Sometimes it will run in attract mode for hours without an issue, but usually after some time it will freeze. By freeze, I mean the video stalls as you say. I can continue to scroll and the wheel still scrolls in attract mode. At this point, I just tolerate it and restart PinballX when the table video stalls. What is the source of your videos. What size are they? If it is a memory issue, it may just require lower res or more compression. The backglasses for many tables are static anyway. You might try swapping the videos for images at least where the backglass is relatively static.
