Tom Speirs
I just added RGB support to XDMD. It should work with both PinDMD3 and Pin2DMD but I am without either to test. If anyone wanted to test I would appreciate it. Here are the binaries. Just run the demo and select yes to color. Release.zip
gStAv
Hi Tom! Tested it on my PIN2DMD and I could run the no-color test just fine, but when I ran the color function the XDMD froze up and the RGBDMD went black. no color mode didn't work afterwards, guess it dropped the connection. had to disconnect the USB to get it back up... The Lucky1 modified DLL works for me.. Thanks for the work master
Tom Speirs
Okay, thanks for testing. No idea why it does that. Lucky1 will have to check the source code as I cannot test and I cannot get it to go wrong here.
Tom Speirs
One thing. Just to make sure its not something else. Could you unplug the pin2dmd and try the color demo please?
Tom Speirs
Here is another one to try with the PinDMD2. Thanks. Release.zip
Lucky1
The implementation Tom made will only run starting with PIN2DMD firmware version 2.03 and higher which will be released next week. I had to make some changes to the xdmdnative dll because the picture was upside down. Here is a video of the Demo Thanks Tom for your work
dstott
Original Demo works 100% with PinDMD3. Looks great! Now, how do we make it work in PinballX and the VP tables that use XDMD? Can we just copy the files into the appropriate directories or is there additional development required, now that we have verified function? Thanks to all involved for the time and effort. Regards, Dave
Tom Speirs
Hey, I am still working with Russell and Lucky1 but yes, pretty much, it should just work for Mono. For color it will need updates to PinballX and UltraDMD.
slydog43
I can't seem to be able to compile latest XDMD. I'm using VS2012. I get 28 errors, most in device.vb and some in video.vb. Type RGB24 is not defined. I upped the .net to 4.0 for the project and tried to recompile.
Tom Speirs
Probably just need to add the reference again.
