Are you using MAME set? If yes, why are your roms rar'd? Don't you typically just feed it the zip?

Just a guess, I don't use this emulator. But I don't think GameEx would typically need to extract this file to play it if you're just using zipped MAME ROMs.

You probably need to go through your ROM set and make sure that nothing is in a .rar package. If so, then you will need to unrar them and put them in .zip packages. If using 7zip, make sure that 7zip is enabled for each emulator using ROMs that are in .7z format.

I think he is referrring to what is showing in this part of your log.txt file:

22:32:27.9  13/02/2016:  Extracting: D:\Emulators\DEmul\roms\Naomi-Naomi2-Atomswave-Hikaru-Gaelco\fotns.rar22:32:28.2  13/02/2016:  Running: cmd.exe /c D: DEmul.exe -run=awave -rom=fotns

GamesIn7zips=True

which should be

GamesIn7zips=False

Also your log showed it extracted a RAR file.

The games should be zipped the same way they are for MAME, which is why people generally use ROMs based off a MAME set.

I'm sure I know the answer, but can get it to run using that command line outside of GameEx?

Ok, so are your games still in RAR files?

capsnk.rar ?

You'll need to concentrate on making it run outside of GameEx first or else you're adding an extra layer of complication.

i use demu 0.5.8.2 .. do i have to use 0.7?

i think it depends on your graphics-card and what directX it supports. As far as i know, the 0.7 version is directX 11 only, if your graphics card supports directX 11 you should go with 0.7 (faster than 0.5.8 ;) ) , if it does NOT support directX 11, go with 0.5.8.2 :) .
