Hi'ya guys!

I'm looking for how-to on getting sweetfx look like the HLSL/GLSL shaders does for MAME

on emulators which do not have that great looking shaders build in, like DEMUL

Anyone how have a good setup? A dummie guide would be super!

Cheers!

Hey gStAv,

Unfortunatetly there is no official support for 3rd party shaders (and rightly so) - the staff here have no control over them and so can only offer advice that has been offered by members like yourself, who take the time to experiment with such things and post their findings,

That being said, there are members here that might be able to help you out - uman is particularlly good in this field. Check this thread (external) to witness a recent discussion on the matter.

HLSL - An in-depth

It may get you on the right track :)

I immediately thought of u-man earlier today when I read this, but isn't his focus squarely on mame, mameUIFX specifically (I believe)? gStAv is looking for this in various emu's like DEMUL, which I believe is uncharted territory around these parts.

I'm often incorrect, and this could be a fine example :D

True, but i was working on the associative principle :P For instance, a Diamond expert may know all there is about Diamonds, but surely an expert also knows a little about coal too :)

Yes! u-man indeed is the shader expert for MAME, but I guess he knows something about coal as well *lol*

Nice thread though, I will read up and see if I can get some results back with me worth showing.

Isn't anyone using Demul on atomiswave and Naomi 1/2 and missing scanlines?
