Rychem28
Hello All,I am wondering if the Create Snaps options still works and whether or not it can be used for emulators other than MAME.I currently use MESS for most of my emulators and am interested in creating snaps and videos for my collection. I am able to enable and launch the "Create Snaps" feature, unfortunately I only get blank black snaps while it is running. Is there a specific codec that is required for a snap? Thanks again,Rychem
Tom Speirs
It should still work although with Windows Vista and newer it won't capture from apps using Direct3D. If you are using MAME are Mess you should be able to set them to run under GDI or DirectDraw and it will then capture the screen.

rabidpuppy
You may also want to check out emumovies.com if you haven't already. Is there a way to point the Download Service Utility at the MESS roms/software location and do all systems? Adultery
You would have to go system by system and point the Rom folder to the download service gui.
Rychem28
Would this work in the case of the MESS software list though? This is part of the reason that I was asking about the create snaps feature. The internal software list for MESS uses similar naming convention for ROMS as MAME. Hence the No-intro/Good.... naming convention used on EmuMovies is not easily transferable.
