The main one I do test for this is TFTC.New install = I:/PinballX - Copy databases & all media - Back to the launch crash. I don't have a video or backglass video for TFTC, only the static backglass.19:41:25.2 31/05/2013: PinballX - Version 1.2619:41:25.2 31/05/2013: Loading Settings19:41:25.2 31/05/2013: Initialize Component19:41:25.3 31/05/2013: Initialize Display19:41:25.5 31/05/2013: Created DirectX BackGlass Window19:41:25.5 31/05/2013: Hiding Cursor19:41:25.6 31/05/2013: Hiding Taskbar19:41:25.6 31/05/2013: Loading PlugIns19:41:25.6 31/05/2013: Load Game List19:41:25.6 31/05/2013: Loading Database: Future Pinball19:41:25.6 31/05/2013: Loading Database: Visual Pinball19:41:25.6 31/05/2013: Loading Database: Pinball FX219:41:25.6 31/05/2013: Loading Custom Database: Zen19:41:25.6 31/05/2013: Finding and matching artwork and videos19:41:32.2 31/05/2013: Initialize Audio19:41:32.2 31/05/2013: Set Keyboard Controls19:41:32.3 31/05/2013: Initialize Joystick19:41:32.3 31/05/2013: No Joysticks Attached19:41:32.3 31/05/2013: Started

Tom Speirs
Also is this a new issue with 1.26. I thought you said all table were launching now?
Agrajag
1st table playfield video corrupted or failing to play sometimes but not every time, and other table videos disappearing at random as I cycle back and forth or exit a table, then eventually all playfield videos fail to play. Backglasses are OK though. Launched a random table (Sorcerer) successfully, then when exiting it all three screens went black and I had to kill the program with task mgr.log.txtPinballX.ini

Agrajag
I think you have some codec issues unrelated to bugs in the app.Could be. I have installed the Shark codecs with recommended settings, but there might be some other junk left behind. I'll see if I can do anything with it over the weekend but I might have to live with the problems until such time as I build a new PC or can be bothered to reinstall Windows on this one. Computers, eh?

Agrajag
All I did was install it and tick the box for recommended settings. I'm currently testing 1.27 and all is going well so far but I'll try what you suggested and report back tomorrow.
Darkmeteor
Maybe LAV is crashing because there is too many instances of it running at the same time, everytime I crash I see about 10 LAV icons on the taskbar.

Darkmeteor
Yes I just tried with 1.28. I also tried with the latest shark007 with and without recommended settings, LAV always end up crashing after half a minute of browsing tables.
Tom Speirs
Ive just released 1.29. The videos should be about as stable as I can get them now. Any better?
Darkmeteor
Seems to be the same, sometimes it crashes the frontend, sometimes it just stop playing playfields.

Tom Speirs
In the settings app try setting to use FFDSHOW.
Darkmeteor
Definitely works better. No crash yet, the only thing is sometimes when browsing fast, the playfield video doesn't start, and when switching table the video comes back (doesn't happen on any particular video)
Darkmeteor
I also identified an issue on my end, some of my homemade videos had a silent audio stream, but still, that audio stream was a part of the problem. After going through each of my video and demuxing/remuxing without that empty stream, it works way better. So anyone who has homemade videos should make sure the only stream in the file is the video stream !

If so, please start a new thread with the version # and the problem you are experiencing in the Title. Thanks!
