I have PinDMDv3 working with PinballX. I have just configured a Teensy controller with DOF, and it is working also (using the PF right/left events). Now the catch: they don't work together. If I start PinballX with the Teensy controller plugged to USB, the PinDMD does not work (the controller does). If I start it without the Teensy controller plugged, the PinDMD works fine. Note that: - PinDMD is on COM3, Teensy on COM 6 (I have tried changing this with same results) - PinDMD and the Teensy (DOF) work well together on Visual pinball (I have not tried FP, FX2 or other systems yet) - Once the conflict happens, I have to recover the PinDMD by restarting the PC Other than configuring dmddevice.ini in PinballX, is there other setting I should keep an eye on ? Is the DOF plugin somehow causing the conflict ? Any ideas on what to look for ? I'll be interested to hear form anyone that has both devices on their setups. I can provide config and logs if necessary. thanks.
Hi guys! I recently messed up a folder in my Visual Pinball folders. Hade XDMD and UltraDMD and removed the UltraDMD one as I thought it was from an older install. Now it seems that I also broke the PinballX video, as the PIN2DMD is black during table browsing. It works just fine when staring a norma ROM table, although UltraDMD tables are also broken. (works with virtual window on the playfield, n ot on the PIN2DMD) I tried to re-install PinballX and also UltraDMD but the abscense remains... How can I get this back. can't recall additional installations, but please. I anyone Gould do a step-by-step re-installing PinballX with working intro video support and even how to get UltraDMD tables to show on PIN2DMD I shure would be a happy camper! Cheers!
Hello Tom, could you explain me how XDMD does the grayscale or colour handling of bitmap images ? Background of my question: I'm trying to create some static Real DMD Images for my PinDMD v2 with Vishay. I use GIMP 2.8, with a canvas of 128x32 and have defined a palette with 8 gray levels between 0% and 100% My problem is, that values below 50% all seems to be too bright on the Vishay. Anything between 5% and 50% looks the same. What I'm doing wrong ? Thanks a lot for some more information.
