  1. I had a couple roms for Atari Jaguar in the .jag format and Gameex pointed to the Jaguar roms folder. I deleted those and added a different set of Jaguar roms to the folder. Then I deleted emulator, reinstalled it, and pointed it to the same Jaguar roms folder. When I go to the Jaguar emulator in Gameex it still sees the old/nonexistent/deleted roms, and not the new set I have added. I have tried to look for a way to manually force an update so the new list shows and not the old. Can someone tell me how to do this? When I install emulators I install the database/dat files as well. Is that part of the issue here?
  2. I have added the roms in .rar format in the default pathway for the roms according to the Setup Wizard. When I click the folder beside the path, it opens up the folder with the roms in it. When I select that game system and click list games not a single one shows up. I tested this for a single system, and "yes" is selected from the drop down menu to open games in .rar/.zip/7z format. Is there some other step needed besides simply adding roms to the correct folder? Edit: Gameex.ini added. Final Edit: I realized that I had to use the Setup Wizard, select the emulator, and hit Audit Games icon and games showed up under the list. [GAMEEX].ini
  3. Howdy! I'm a recent convert to PinballX & VPinMAME and have been setting them up recently, enjoying it quite a bit. I can't seem to find any information on PinballX not alphabetizing the game list. I've got my MaLa on the wheel and would like it to be before the 'A' of the pinball games. Is it possible to stop PinballX from alphabetizing the games and just ordering them the way I've listed them in the XML? Thank you very much!

    5 Questions

Now that I've gotten my major issues with GameEx solved I can focus on all of my less major issues. If I can solve these, I'm sure I'll end up buying a registered version once I have some spare change. Solved; V2 Themes need to be Upgraded to V4 1. Escape Key Issue: When I customize controls (via the tab menu) in MAME or MESS without GameEx, hitting escape simply exits the tab menu. But, in GameEx it exits the game and returns me to the game list. Is there a way to change this? Solved 2. Clones: In MAMEUI clones are grouped and offset with their originals. Is there a way to do this with GameEx? 3. Control Panel: Before a MAME game starts, it shows me a control panel graphic. This isn't necessary for me, because I can just check my controls in the tab menu. How do I deactivate it? Solved 4. Gamelist Resolution: All of the themes I've tried out have enabled me to see about 11-17 games at a time. I'm pretty used to seeing 36 games at a time in MAMEUI/MESSUI. Is there a way to make the gamelist text smaller? I'm currently using the Red and Blue theme. 5. Does hiding the desktop (Is this what HideOS does?) speed up the load-time and quit-time of emulators in any way? I sometimes have to wait 6 seconds before an emulator returns to GameEx, so I'm always on the look out for ways to speed this up (Again, I've been spoiled by the speed of MAMEUI/MESSUI for a few years). Solved (It Doesn't) Thank you all for your continual help.
