I have a 3 screen cab and I just switched to Pinballx. So far I am really happy I switched to this front end. I am currently having one issue. I was trying to use dmd videos, but apparently Pinballx does not allow audio on dmd videos? The videos play fine with audio outside of Pinballx. If I play the videos as a table video the audio works, so this seems like it is a dmd video/audio limitation in Pinballx. I thought it would be cool to have dmd videos with audio playing for each table when looking through tables in the wheel. Can anyone confirm this is or is not currently possible? Maybe this can be considered as a future update? Thanks.

Hi all, I just finished building my pinball cabinet a couple of months ago. I started out setting up PinballX with the 69 Pinball FX2 tables I had previously purchased. Thanks to a lot of great community members, I found outstanding backglass and playfield videos and wheel images. However, I had difficulty finding color DMD videos that would work with my Pin2DMD display. I don't know if this is a common problem for Pin2DMD owners, but I created videos for the FX2 tables I own and wanted to share them in case they are useful to others. I've also attached one of the videos as an example. I know a lot of folks have moved on to Pinball FX3, but I've held off until they work out the issues I've read about with cabinet support. I've uploaded the videos to the PinballX FTP site in the "/-PinballX-/Other Uploads/TommyBee/Media/Pinball FX2/Real DMD Color Videos" folder. There is a "Readme.txt" file there that explains the contents. To use the videos with PinballX, copy the contents of the "NO_TITLES" or "TITLES" subfolder on the FTP site to your PinballX's "Media/Pinball FX2/Real DMD Color Videos" folder. Enjoy! Hi guys hoping you can help me with some final tweaking on my pinball cab. I have a 3 screen setup and running custom videos on my third monitor DMD screen whilst browsing FP tables in PinballX, they are movie trailers or cut scenes to match the table. This is working fine, my issue is that when I launch a FP table the videos freezes and just displays a black screen for the DMD for the whole time the table is running. I want the video to continue playing the looping video whilst the table is running if possible, can this be done? I`m not using Future DMD at all, do I need to run the videos through Future DMD or something? I have "hide DMD" un-checked in PinballX table manager which I thought allowed DMD/Backglass videos to continue playing on table launch. Any help would be very much appreciated, thanks in advance!!!

Hi. I have just created 54 different DMD videos that's shorter, loopable and without washed out colors than the ones previously released. After feedback I raised the brightness and contrast somewhat. They are attached in this post and also uploaded to the FTP (Other Uploades/Pipshag). I'd also like to point out that theese captures are in 256 x 64 and would perhaps have compability with any DMD-screens. Since I don't own one I have no idea about the technicality behind it so no guarantees. Since vPinmame automatically adds padding I have cropped down the videos to meet the above mentioned pixels. This also means that you may have to adjust PinballX DMD positioning with 2-3 pixels. For those that want to recreate and add some own videos, see the below specs.
