    Infoz

    Version 0.9.0

    37 downloads

Theme Editor, Marquee and Game Info Display, Game Controls editor/display and Games metadata/media Editor The GameEx backend you always needed... Infoz is the Swiss army knife of plugins. Some of its main features are: Theme Editor - streamline + automated theme generation Full game metadata and media scraper - scrape additional media and info from Screenscraper.fr Auto-generated Game Information pages + Marquees - generated from game metadata and media Games Metadata and Media Editor - Manually edit or auto scrape game info from Screnscraper.fr and last, but certainly not least... Game controls viewer and editor - setup and maintain controllers and individual controls for all your games (CPWizard for all emulators) Have fun. 🙂👍 Best Installed from Setup Wizard...
  2. I use a desktop resolution of 1280X960 on a CRT for Gameex I use the wheel view as you can see in my screens. To have a good looking wheel, the list take the entire height and has an horizontal offset ( the list exceeds the screen width so a part is non visible) . I do this because otherwise the wheel takes half of the screen width For me it's really looking nice, but when i enter in the game page, the list take the entire height too and i can't see the entire lines of the game info, as a part is truncated because of the offset. So my question is : Can we make two different layouts for game list and for game menu with the same emulator page ? I just see one .ini wich is "NEC TurboGrafx 16.ini" Perhaps can we do a "_gameinfo.ini " ? Thanks
  3. I would like to learn how to create my own themes for the latest version of gameEx. I see on the forums descriptions of a theme editor. Where is this located? I have googled and searched the web and the forums. The only result is a site called headsoft from 2006. Is this what I need? Please help Newbie Thank you in advance
  4. Hi there! I already have a custom theme for my arcade classics' cabinet, but with so many systems... mame, pinball, nes, snes, n64, master system, genesis, psx... I realized I mostly use MAME on it, so I was thinking about making a new custom theme... But I don't know how. I would like to only support game, and load mame's games on startup. The interface should have game's marquee on the top, game list on the left, game preview video on the right. How can I make the marquee appears for each game? I mean I can use two image boxes, but how can I choose what's displayed on each?
  5. Hello! I just discovered a bug in the way themes are handled. When using Custom Module Layouts without using Custom Emulator Layouts each emulator screen uses the Emulator Select Layout, not the Emulator Layout (in other words, it uses emulatorselect_module.ini instead of emu_module.ini). This is problematic for me, since I want to always display videos in a specific place, and the emulator select screen puts videos in the Image2 position whereas emulators put the video in the Image position. I've attached my Theme.ini in case it is useful.
  6. Hey guys, this should be a simple one. I searched, but either I missed the answer or I don't know how to word the question. I want to change the opening GameEx logo and sound, but I'm not sure how to go about that exactly. I know there's an image and sound bite it's calling somewhere within the theme folder, but I'm not sure of the location. Also, I'm not sure what are the parameters of the logo and sound, such as the file container, length, etc. Thanks in advance!
  7. I feel pretty stupid about having to ask this, but where is the theme editor. I checked the GameEx file, the downloads and the forums and I'm not having much luck. Sorry to ask this, I feel like I should've been able to find it....
  8. Hi all, Also in the creation of my future theme for GameEx, codenamed "eXion" I discovered a new problem with Theme Editor. I'll try to be as clear as possible. First here are some screenshots : This is the start menu, it is composed of a transparent background and a foreground component (StarBak.png and StartBak_Foreground.png in MEDIA folder of theme) When I go to the Console menu, everything is ok. When I go to the menu NES console, it retains the StartBak_Foreground.png Background on the NES Also attached background NES only in case So I create a foreground for the menu for the NES component is larger to cover the game list (Theme_Background_Nintendo NES_Foreground.png in MEDIA folder of theme). And the problem is that the component appears superimposed transparent layers with transparent pane StartBak_Foreground.png So I tried with a non-transparent foreground, only the logo and everything works, the StartBak_Foreground.png no longer appears. Yet it works with MAME menu. The transition between the menu and menu selection of games is ok (Bak_Foreground.png in MEDIA folder) My only solution for the NES menu is to make a transparent background incorporating pane, but I find it a pity for the further development of my theme. Like that : A solution? Thank you for read (and understood) myg =)
  9. Hi Folks ! I've running into some trouble using the Theme Editor. I'm building a new theme, wich basicaly will use two custom layouts. One for all the emulators, and one for the other GameEx sections, like music, videos, pictures etc. The problem is, when I mark in the theme editor the option "Custom Emulator Layouts" or the option "Custom Module Layouts" GameEx starts messed up. So, If for example, if I mark "Custom Emulator Layouts" the emulator section (snes in the case) became all messed up. But as soon I uncheck it, the layout return to its normal behavior. The same happens with I check the option "Custom Module Layouts" , the start page, even after I adjust it in theme editor, cames all messed up within GameEx. I've saw that theme editor create in the theme directory lots of *.ini files, when I check those options. each ini file is for a section within GameEx, and I've checked the files and theme editor, and the coordinates are equal. So theme editor saves the ini files correctly. Anybody can help ? Thanks in advance! Attached some screenshots. Theme Editor Screens : Theme running within GameEx :
