  1. Hi there! I noticed something weird. I have nestopia as NES emulator. Using latest gameex. When I choose a game, it runs fine. Then I leave my arcade alone for some time, with that game still on. And suddenly when I come back, the game is running wild, like in turbo mode. All system becomes unstable, I can't even get out of the game. It runs at full speed, like fast forward on the emulator, but no key was pressed at all. Anybody had the same problem or any clue?
  2. I like a lot the Hyperpie collection system, wich is able to display a list of games from differents emulators sharing the same theme. For example, i want to display a menu called "Sonic Collection" displaying all the Sonic Games to i want to include and launch them correctly even if they use different emulators (and not duplicating my config) Is there a simple way to do this ? I can do this with the seach module, searching for Sonic Games, but i want the list to be persistent and editable Any idea? Thanks
  3. GameEx Emulator Wiki http://gameex.info/wiki/index.php/Category:Emulators See above for a growing list of Emulator guides. Includes things like Command Line parameters, hotkeys and plugin details. Be great if y'all could add to it. Every time I set up a new system/emulator, I just put any research outcomes into the relevant wiki page. If you're going to start a new emulator, use the "Template: Emulator" as a standard. You can just edit the page and copy and paste the markup into the new emulator page. The format's recently changed, with Dolphin, Cemu and Citra showing the most recent format.
  4. Hi everyone, I would like to ask if it's possible to increase the number of available Emulator slots in Gameex from 62 to at least 99. Reason is that I love testing many emulators (for most of them I have just a couple of roms) and I don't want to override the settings again when checking out a new one. Many thanks and kind regards, Thomas
  5. Hello, I am trying to run a ROM using Model 2 version 1.1a. The ROM seems to load but the screen is black except for some text that says "Sound Initialize..." and it just stays that way until I exit out and then it takes me back to GameEx. Does anyone know how to fix this? I'm attaching my log and ini files after trying to run the ROM.
  6. Hello, I tried using my PlayStation 2 Emulator to open an ISO ROM but I don't know if my command line is correct. I tried using pcsx2.exe -e "[ROMPATH]\[ROMFILE]" and then I tired using pcsx2.exe "[ROMPATH]\[ROMFILE]" but it didn't work. I read this thread but it didn't help me. What is the command line I should use? I also tried pcsx2.exe [ROMPATH]\[ROMFILE] but it gave me an error message. I attached a screen pic of the error message.
  7. Currently I use the latest version of this emulator (WinAPE 2.0 a18). 1) could someone tell me how do I configure the two joysticks. With the option checked "enable joystick" only the first control works. And yet the provisions of the buttons are horrible. I would myself map the keys of the controls (1 and 2 player) and then using and enjoying the Xpadder program. In short. Can you show me how to configure control 1 player and 2 player on the computer keyboard? 2) When I press the "Esc" button on this emulator back to GameEx but the emulator is still open. Is there any command line I can use to force close it?Thank you so much! AMSTRAD GX4000.ini GameEx.ini
  8. Hey there, I'm adding arcade systems to my pinball cab to play vertical games on the the big tv screen. I'm running into a strange issue when trying to run the Demul emulator (for Sega Naomi). I'm starting games by running AutoHotkey scripts that in turn start the emulator. Everything is working perfectly. Stange this is, I'm getting no sound when starting from PinballX. When I use the exact same AutoHotkey scripts outside of PinballX, changing nothing, the sound is there. Anyone any idea why this would happen only when starting from PinballX?
  9. Hi everyone, at first, a big thank you for what you all made so far ! Time for me to introduce my project, and ask for a litle help from Reunion Island, Indian ocean. my project is a present for my dad who's getting retired soon. he's a pinball fan but he don't know anything in computers ! I have installed pinball x, working great with VP, FP and PFX2. i'd like to add 2 features : a NES emulator and a juke box. i have to find a way for those applications to be easily launched with pincab buttons. i 've tried several solution with no success. i tried maximus arcade to be the master front end but i couldn't launch pinball x from it. another solution would be to launch the NES Emulator and jukebox from Pinball X (i didnt' succeed with pinballx) or, i could may be do that with gameex... the point is that it must be very easy to navigate, select and play, shutdown, with no mouse or keyboard. i put some pictures attached of my work in progress ! excuse my english, i'm french !! hope i can find answer and contribute ! Olivier
  10. Sorry to bother everyone, love gamex and hope to continue using it, but i've ran into a small problem. My question is about the Rom directory for PSX emulator. It creates a directory in roms\sony playstation\roms\, but when the "roms" i have are in a folder and contain 3 files; a .img, a .ccd, and another .ccd. If i leave them in a folder for each game, the games show up in the list in gamex but won't open in the emulator, but if I put the raw files in that directory, They open in the emulator but have 3 copies of each game. What is the proper way of putting these files, or do i need them in a different format? I really like this emulator because it's compatibility is good without alot of setup (usually), but i'm stuck.
  11. I have a very weird issue. Everything worked perfectly fine yesterday. Today I put the InstantShell on. Now, the number one key doesn't work on the keyboard or my X-Arcade duel joystick in any of the emulators. It works fine in GameEx and I can type it in Notepad. I thought maybe it was the InstantShell so I undid it but it still doesn't work. Both Mame and Nestopia were having the issue (those are the two I use). Has anyone seen this type of issue before? I am not sure what else to try.
  12. Hi guys, Need some help. I have absolutely scoured the GameEx forums trying to find a solution to this problem. I have Magic Engine v1.13 set up as my TG-16 emulator (not TG-16 CD); when I select a rom from GameEx I am taken directly to the Magic Engine menu. The rom doesn't automatically run like all the other emulators I have set up with GameEx. Currently I'm running the demo version of Magic Engine--don't know if that makes a difference--but I did just purchase a key which should be emailed to me within 24-48 hours. This is driving me insane! Someone help! 13. I want to start setting up commodore 64 and intellivision on my cabinet. I think I should be able to get it working just fine, my problem has always been the compatibility with those systems when taking into account the fact you'd be playing them on a 4 player pushbutton style cabinet control panel, not a computer or the intellivision dial deal. The control mapping always seems daunting and I just shy away from it. I am wondering if anyone can direct me to a control file or link for either system that would assist in the control mapping process to have it accurately play the game by way of an arcade control panel. If that is out there. I think I will use WinVice for commodore and Nostalgia for Intellivision.
  14. So I started out trying some new NES emulators because mine was kind of old and couldn't even play some games. So I got Nestopia and it was awesome. After noticeing the fullscreen mode I tried it out because I'v been wating to play in fullscreen, however it when from this (not full screen) to this (full screen) where a lot screen has black bars around it. In the video settings I have the resolution set to 1920x1080, I can't find any "change aspect ratio" option or a "stretch to fit" option. I really would like to play my NES games in full screen, so you could help me that would be awesome.
  15. Hello! Just thought I would share this with you all: I've installed it in my cab, and it works flawlessly with the Model 2 Emulator! Big thanks to Darth Marino! LC
  16. Hello and good afternoon! I'm finally, somewhat back lol, at least for a little while. Lately, I've been starting on building a racing arcade cab (which it's come a long way so far, software-wise), planning the wedding and honeymoon later this year, and even booked a trip to Disney for next January. Anyway, lol, on to the subject at hand - I ordered two lightguns from arcadelightguns.com, which uses the "aimtrak technology". The guns work great, and was easy to calibrate in windows. Mame was a little bit of a challenge though - only for the fact of certain games such as Revolution X, Terminator 2, Space Gun, etc didn't really use "light guns", and took a little while to figure out, but after a little trial and error, got things running pretty smoothly . Here is the issue I'm having - I'm trying to configure the light gun to work as a superscope in snes9x. (I'm using v. 1.5.3) The trigger button and aiming do work well. The emulator detects the other two buttons, except for when playing a game. I've tried to map these two buttons for the pause and turbo in the hotkey config, but neither work when playing a game. (I've even pressed "," for the emulator to display what buttons were pressed, and nothing registered in game). I've been trying to figure this out for awhile - so long that I'm close to pulling the rest of my hair out lol. The other question, is do you know how to configure the "cursor" button in snes9x (for the superscope)? I haven't found that option yet in the emulator software. I understand that this question doesn't really pertain to GameEx, but thanks in advance for any help!! LC
  17. Hello! I'm having a bit of trouble trying to remap some keys using the mapping feature in the Advanced Config Editor. Currently, I have a black pushbutton that I use for MAME and a couple of emulators as a "kill switch" - to exit out of the emulator and return to GameEx. This pushbutton has been configured as "S" in the iPac. What I am trying to do is to remap the "Escape" button to "S" in the advanced config editor for the emulators that I am not able to configure to exit upon "S" in the configuration of the emulator itself. After I attempted to do this, what happens is I am unable to exit the game when pressing the "kill button", "S", or "Escape" - I would have to Ctrl Alt Delete it and end the process via task manager. Is it possible to remap the Escape button to another button by using this feature? If so, how can it be set up? Thanks! LC
  18. Hello to all! First off, thank you all for all the hard work so far! I have no idea where I would be at if it wasn't for all your help thus far. Now for the question, lol - I've been stuck on something for a little while, and hoping someone can answer this for me, or point me in the right direction (I've been trying to look up this information on the web, but no luck so far). CPWizard is awesome!! I have it set up for use with MAME right now, and for the past few days, I've been trying to figure out how to also set it up to use with the other emulators (N64, SNES, NES, etc) to where all games in my cab, when chosen, will display the control panel before the game launches. Is this possible? And if so, how do ya set it up? Thanks in advance!! LC
