  6. Hello I just tried Gamex Arcade to build up my Mame Windows 10 quad core PC with touch screen support but it does not work as expected.. My PC is a Windows 10 64 bit machine with an Acer 27" touch screen (full HD, touch is win 8.1 compatible) and a benq beamer (full HD). The NVidia GTX 970 runs these both displays in clone mode but most of the time the touch screen display is used single. The 10 point/finger touch screen is running here since windows 8.1 was released for some years and is working without problems in different apps/games. The Problem: I was unable to use my windows compatible touchscreen with mame 64 (v191) and then i read about gamex to be a touch solution for this problem. When I try to configure Gameex arcade (Setup Wizard configuration guide) I do not find the option for tousch screen devices . There is no touch screen / tablet setting under the input section so I´m not able to configure something. At the moment I have installed the free version of Gameex Arcade and what I read about it was that it should support touch devices as well. I would like to use the gameex frontend with touch and hope to run some lightgun/trackball games also with touch screen. Anybody can help ? Regards
  7. Is there any way to put MAME under a MAME menu on the main screen, instead of having all of the MAME categories showing up? I remember with standard Gameex that you could do this. Right now my main menu is very messy and I want to clean it up. Thanks

    Mame .LAY

Hi, does anyone now where I can find .lay files on the server for mame? I only have a few that show the marquee header in mame. I cant seem to figure out the .lay format to have mame show the marquee on some games and not others. Thanks!
  9. I am trying to cull my game list to get rid of games I don't want. So instead of starting with an entire set, I thought I would start with the ones I know and work and then add more from there once they are tested and have all the necessary files. My issue is, I have started with just a couple of ROM's that work but when I update my game list, Gameex shows me the entire list of available games, not just the 3 in my ROM folder. I have tweaked a few filters in the advanced mame section but it doesn't seem to matter. I am using Gameex 3.0.3, Mame 0.0161 with corresponding ROMs. I have also applied the Mame system pack to Gameex. Is there a setting I am missing???? Thanks, Jason GameEx.ini
  10. Is there somewhere inside the GameEx folder that I can get the MAME .map file? I know the path of .map files is, at least on my computer: C: \ GameEx \ MAP FILES " It turns out that when configuring this emulator in "GameEx Menu Editor", I can choose in the "Item Type" tab, the option "MAME" or the option that I created called "Arcade". The problem is that when I choose the option "Arcade" the names of the roms are not configured. Appearing the real names of the files. While the option "MAME" could not do that once choosing this system within the gameex I can already see the list of games. It is always necessary for me to choose the MAME system, then go to the screen where we have to choose between types of games like: Horizontal games Vertical games CPS Games etc... I wanted that once chosen the MAME system already appeared the list of games, instead of choosing the system, then having to choose the type of game to only then enter the list of MAME games. In short, is there a way to go right through the "all Mame games" part? If someone owns the file ".map" of the MAME system also serves !!! I know the reason may sound stupid, but it really bothers me .... I think I should have some degree of obsessive compulsive disorder !!!
  11. hello to everyone, i looking documentation, trying for test.. for a future flipper cabinet. i saw this great project: at minute 5:46 in the video i see a list of games of mame and flipper tables, separated in a "list"... how is it possibile to do that?
  12. I installed GameEx Arcade edition today. I have only added about 100 roms to try to work out what works. It will load only one game. I can play that game OK but when I try to change games, none will load. Sometimes they will load to allow me to enter coins and start the game, then exit the game in a few seconds, as was the case with the several games attempted in the log. Only restarting the computer (Windows 7 Ultimate) will allow another Mame game to be loaded. Advice to fix requested. log.txt GameEx.ini
  13. Hi Guys I have MAME_0_161_ROMs set, will this work with MAME System Pack Installer? thx
  14. 15. Hi all, Been searching around the forum but can't find an issue that is similar enough to ours; When loading into the Gameex system and viewing "all games" not all of the ROMs that are shown as available in MAME can be viewed or played. We've been looking into this issue for the best part of the day, we also tried changing the ROM path but the same 160 games (which stop after A in the directory) showed. I've attached the gameex.ini and log.txt from our machine, any help would be greatly appreciated. Kind regards, Michael at 3GiTech GameEx.ini log.txt
  16. Hi everyone, I am new to GameEx (used to use Mala 174). I am using the setup wizard, but I can't seem to get just the Mame roms that I have to display. GameEx is continuously pulling a gigantic list. How can I get just the roms that I have on my drive to show, and not what is available online? Thanks!
  17. Is there a Zinc database out there? There are built in Arcade databases for Atomiswave, model2 & model3. But I could not find one for Zinc and one have one or can point me to it? Thanks.
  18. Can someone tell me what the command line used to run games "Epoch Super Cassett Vision" in emulator MAME? Currently use the latest version of MAME (version 176b_64bit). I tried this command line did not work: mame64.exe scv -cart "[ROMPATH]\[ROMFILE]" -joy -now
  19. Sorry of this is a repeat or if I'm just dim. Recently I switched from ArcadeOS to GameEx. Love it. I even paid up a few bucks and have the registered version. I have 3 mame cabinets(since 2000). This week while redoing my 3rd machine with GameEx everything was going great until I went looking for advance configs so that I could say I'm using an IPac. I've grown so used to IPac commands for stuff like 'tab' 'pause' so on and so on. Has something changed? What am I missing?

  21. Hi. I'm trying to set GameEx up for my mame arcade cab. I downloaded a pack of 0.161 ROMS and am using MAMEUIFX . For the most part GameEx is working OK, however it's not showing all the working roms. For instance I happen to like GoldenAxe and I cannot find that despite there being several working versions in MAMEUIFX. Things I've tried: Updating the games list in GameEx Updating and verifying roms in MAMEUIFX and then updating list in GameEx Turning off/on Verify ROMS Turning the filter off entirely I'm new to all this and missing some knowledge - I cannot work out what GameEx is doing to generate it's list and how it decides what to exclude, Any pointers gratefully received. I was up to 2am last night trying this LOL!

I'm using the backglass of TerryRed for MAME pack that I have integrated into PinballX. I made some new ones that were not. I have also modified other I did not like the Neo-Geo all because I do not like your marquee and other personal preferences. (46 in total) Pongo here I have done or changed, the rest already on the FTP uploaded by TerryRed. ----------------------------------------- Estoy usando los backglass de TerryRed para el pack de MAME que tengo integrado en PinballX. 23. Hi All, First off, im no programmer just a gadget junkie and old skool gamer..building for my daughters...who have helped with testing. I started to build a mame cab which turned into a pinball/mame cab which has now turned into a Mame/Pinball/VR cab. I have been using PinballX for everything and wondering is other VR vive users out there? I can get Mame/Future pinball (bam) and Pinball FX2 VR all working and this got me thinking how cool to have them all in a PinballX VR setup. I have Dolphin VR working also but not through Pinball X yet... :-) Any other want/need/think this would be cool? if so lets go behind Tom and team and see if something can be done? So in Short turn Pinball X into a VR front end for Pinball/Arcade..
  24. Hello Folks: I am fairly new to the emulator world and have just successfully completed building my "retro" arcade PC. I think I have a pretty good handle on how things work. However, I am a little stumped on the MAME setup inside GameEx. I took my time searching through forums and questions but didn't fully find what I was looking for. Here are my questions: 1. Where is the recommended location for your MAME roms? Inside the MAME emulator folder "rom" location or to a folder I have GameEx pointing to (right now it goes to a separate drive that the emulator is not on) 2. Every time I start GameEx; MAME always wants to update it's list. Is this normal? Can I shut it off? What is the recommendation on this behavior? Mine takes forever to update. I have several thousand games. What is everyone else doing? I would love to hear from the community. Any other suggestions to my new project are always welcome. Thanks in advanced for helping me. Happy Gaming!! Jeremy
  25. After recent GameEx update MameUI64 (and I've tried Mame64) crashes immediately after launch. I get an error message that says something went wrong this program needs to close. Doesn't matter what game. Any help would greatly be appreciated. log.txt GameEx.ini
