  1. Hi there, I am having an issue getting roms to load using Alcohol and ePSXE. When I updated to Windows 10, I switched to Alcohol 120 as Daemon stopped working. I used the following command line, and it worked fine, but now gives me the error *EPSX:Demo not found[[ALCOHOL]]. epsxe.exe -nogui -slowboot [ALCOHOL] -loadmemc0 "memcards\[rom].mcr" What might be causing this, please. If I load a rom into Alcohol, then use ePSXE, that works fine. When I use PluginDownloader 1.02 Options the Test.iso loads fine, so I'm thinking it's something in that command line, which previously worked fine. Thanks for any assistance.
  2. Awesome! I hadn't even heard of that plugin or even knew about the plugins available. It works great. Thank you, thank you! No matter what I did I couldn't get anything to work with Daemon. Apparently Windows 10 requires the SPTD 2.0.2 64 bit driver, and my older version of Daemon used 1.87 and earlier. At one point a notification popped up by Microsoft stating the SCSI passthrough is not compatible with this version of Windows. Even when I have 2.0.2 installed (which works perfectly with Alcohol 120), I couldn't get it to work with Daemon. What a great tool this plugin is. No more fiddling around with launch before/launch after and all that jazz. I wasn't sure where to put it in my command line because I have an extra command in there to create a unique memory card for each game, but I put it after like below, and it works fine. epsxe.exe -nogui -slowboot [ALCOHOL] -loadmemc0 "memcards\[rom].mcr" Thanks, again.
  3. Hi folks, I have been having a heck of a time getting the SPTD driver to take in Windows 10 using Daemon Tools. When I try to create a new SCSI drive, it just has me reboot as if I hadn't already done that multiple times. Anyhow...this got me looking around at potential alternatives to Daemon, so I downloaded Alcohol 120% v2.03. I know that ePSXe usually requires that you be using a SCSI drive, and when trying to just use the standard drive in Daemon games wouldn't load at all in ePSXe and therefore GameEx. I had been using the Launch Before and Launch After command lines that have been posted here in the past in GameEx, which do still work in Windows 8 and older, but do nothing in Windows 10 since I cannot create that SCSI drive. What I found with Alcohol 120% is that the games load perfectly fine in ePSXE, even the ones with CD-Audio. Yay! That's the really good news. The bad news is that I have no idea how to set this up in GameEx. I think it involves something along the lines of [virtualdrive], but I'm clueless. Can anyone help me out, please? Thank you, in advance!
  4. Hi Nullpointer! Thank you for the welcome. I'm not sure what the problem was, but I uninstalled/reinstalled Gameex, set up the emulators again and no longer have any issues. I think the problem was that somehow I had corrupted the emulator setups. i noticed one interesting thing. When trying to run the emulators during the first try, it just went to nothing. When I reinstalled, each time I first started an emulator, Comodo Internet Security was asking if it was okay to run runitgame. That didn't happen the first try. All is well now. Thank you for assisting. GREAT emulator/front-end! Jo
  5. Hi. I've recently installed Game Ex. I've downloaded Nestopia/Virtuanes, SNex9x/ZSNES. None of these emulators will actually run a game from within Game Ex. They all run games outside of it. Game Ex DOES find my rom directory, listing the games, but when I click play game, the Game Ex window disappears, the emulator doesn't start and eventually the Game Ex window returns. An example of the log, when I click to play a game. 20:25:33.2 4/9/2012: Running: cmd.exe /c C: snes9x.exe -fullscreen "D:\Jolene\Games\Roms\Super Nintendo\Super Mario World (USA).sfc" 20:25:33.3 4/9/2012: Shutting down display Here's the ini for SNES9x.
