  1. Hi, I have an arcade cabinet with two original cabinet joysticks. These controls are not recognized by Windows as regular joysticks but are instead mapped, via WinIPAC, to keyboard keys. Works fine for MAME and most other emulators. Here is my problem: Some emulators have the feature to select joystick as input, for example BeebEm (BBC Micro). But as I do not have Windows joysticks installed in my setup I cannot use that feature. I think this can be solved by mapping the keyboard keys that my cabinet joysticks uses to virtual joysticks. So I'm looing for a solution which translates keyboard strokes / cabinet joysticks to virtual joysticks. Is there an application available that will solve this?. I installed VJoy but I'm not sure it that's the right application (and I do not understand much of it). I hope I was clear, English is not first language. Kind regards, Michel
  2. I uninstalled Shark007 codecs on my pc and then installed the LAV codecs. That did not help. As you suggested, I upgraded GameEx to 15.09. Problem solved. Thank you Draco for your suggestions. Kind regards, Michel
  3. Hi Draco, Thank you for your reply. See attachement for my log.txt Right now I'm experimenting with the various settings for converting .mp4 files to .avi files The converted AVI's are now of a reasonable quality and the file size is acceptable. However, I prefer to use the MP4 video snaps from EmuMovies. Kind regards, Michel log.txt
  4. Hello, I have an issue with the video snaps in GameEx. I downloaded a bunch of .mp4 video snaps for my Amiga emulator via the EmuMovie Sync tool. But it takes GameEx a few seconds to load mp4 video snaps when going through the list of games in GameEx. In an attempt to fix this I converted the .mp4 files to .avi files with Pazera's MP4 to AVI / FFMpeg. Result: the loading time significantly increased to the point of no delay but the quality of the .avi videos is very poor. Of course I can convert it to high quality AVI but the converted files are much bigger in comparison to the MP4 files. I want to have a snap video delay close to 0 AND snap videos in the original MP4 format. Is there a way to fix this? In the Tweaks and Performance section I changed the 'Snap/video delay' to 'Fastest' but that seems to have no noticeable effect. I included the GameEx.ini in this post, see attachment. By the way, excuse me for my poor English grammar. Kind regards, Michel GameEx.ini
  5. I installed Vjoy but now GameEx won't start. It is the same issue as described in http://www.gameex.info/forums/topic/13907-vjoy-and-gameex-cant-coexist-is-this-normal/ Is there a solution for this problem yet? I've included my logfile, but the error is in Dutch. Translated it says: 11:48:08.0 20-3-2015: Index was outside the bounds of the array.11:48:08.0 20-3-2015: at GameEx.GameEx.joystick.CheckJoystick()11:48:08.0 20-3-2015: at GameEx.GameEx.Mainform.d1()" log.txt
  6. Thanks Draco! I was certain there was a folder somewhere, but could not find it. Now I know
  7. Hi, Is it possible to add extra logo's in the 'Logo' dropdownmenu of GameEx Custom Menu Editor? I've installed some systems and I would like to see the corresponding logo's in GameEx. Thanks in advance! Michel
  8. So, I have the audio problem resolved by changing Graphics API setting in WinUAE. Meanwhile I also resolved the WinUAE / WinUAELoader config problem. Whatever I tried, I could not get WinUAELoader to load the WinUAE config file I created. Eventually I resolved this by changing the 'WHDload.uae' file in the Data folder. This is the file WinUAELoader uses in every case. In this file I added the line 'gfx_api=directdraw' This solution is a unorthodox I guess, but it works for me.
  9. The problem is that WinUAE does not autom. load the config file that has the correct Graphics API setting. Of course this also happens when WinUAELoader executes WinUAE. How can I autoload a config file everytime WinUAE starts? In the config sections of WinUAE there is a autoload option but I cannot turn it on. In the Host section there is also an autoload option, but there I cannot load or save config files.
  10. Thanks Draco, you made me search in the right direction. In WinUAE I selected DirectDraw instead of Direct3D (under Miscellaneous > Graphics API). That does the trick for me. The sound in WinUAE is now good. The audio problem is not fixed yet in WinUAELoader. Somehow WinUAELoader keeps overriding the WinUAE config file so it uses the Direct3D again. The 'Overwrite Configs' checkbox in WinUAELoader must be checked or unchecked? I find it bit confusing... Michel
  11. Hi In WinUAELoader you can choose to run a game in fullscreen, windowed or full-window. If I run any Amiga game in WinUAELoader in fullscreen or full-window, the audio of the game is distorted. But if I run the game in a window, the audio is not distorted. Weird huh? I updated the audio drivers but that did not help. I also changed some audio settings in WinUAE but nothing helps. Anyone a suggestion? Michel UPDATE I have two speakers in my cabinet and one of them broke down a while ago. Can it be that this has something to do with it?
  12. Hi Tom, The problem is solved. I changed the resolution from 800 x 600 to 1024 x 768. I'm not sure why this works, but it does I'm using an old CRT TV and maybe that has anything to do with it? Anyway, thanks for your help Michel
  13. I turned off Aero to enhance performance of the system. I can turn it back on and try to change te display resolution, see what happens. I'll you know. btw, what issue do you see with my mame.exe?
  14. Hi, A reboot did not resolve it, Content of the logfile:
