  1. Can you post your GameEx config for me to have a look at?

    ZSNES

I'm not all that good at the flipping thing... I don't have a cocktail cab. Is there some sort of program you can run to flip the screen that could utilize the LaunchBefore option in the setup perhaps?
  3. No problem. Any other questions don't be afraid to ask. That's why we're here.
  4. Ouch! You win! Haha!
  5. I'm currently working on a web si6te which will have user friendly zips and emulators with pre-configured .ini files. Just gonna take some time is all. One thing I think would be cool... Maybe offer a link in each emulator page for the music rips? Like, for example - NEStopia has a .nsf player built in, VirtuaNES has an external NSF player (virtuaNSF). If one had the .nsf file for Zelda - it could say 'Play NSF' on the Zelda game screen if they had the appropriate player installed... Just a thought.
  6. When you open your GameEx configuration, it's either the first or second option on the emulator's config screen. Set that to 'YES'. Hope that helps!
  7. Hey there! First thing: If you set the option 'MAP KEYS' to 'YES' on your emulator setup screen for VBA in your GameEx Configuration, you shouldn't have to exit through the GUI. Why? This option makes GameEx quit the emulator if BACK or ESC keys are pressed. Make sure you have VBA set to run in full screen (in the VBA .ini file) before you launch it in GameEx. Next: KEGA has a command line option to make it run in full screen. Try this in the COMMAND LINE section of your GameEx config. Fusion.exe -fullscreen "[ROMPath]\[RomFile]" That should fix the problem. Hope that helps!

    ZSNES

Don't have the latest ZSNES WIP? Get it here. It's updated alot... Like a pimped out version of ZSNES. If your SNES ROMs are zipped, here's a GameEx config to get you started. Scroll down to the bottom of this post and click the link. You can load it into GameEx by unzipping the ZSNES.ini file. It should (hopefully) extract right into the proper directory. If it doesn't, place it here: C:\Program Files\GameEx\CONFIG\EMULATORS\IMPORT-EXPORT Next, IMPORT it by opening GameEx's Configuration Menu and selecting the emulator button you want to assign it to, like Emulator 5 or what have you. The file should appear in the pull-down menu if you placed it in the right spot. Make sure you select the working path, or the folder ZSNESW.EXE is in (Ex: C:\Emulators\ZSNES). Add the paths to your ROMS, snaps, etc. and you should be set to go with that part... If you don't know how to set up ZSNES itself, open the ZSNES emulator. Use the GUI to set up your controller (under Input). Once you're finished, close ZSNES and you should see a file called zsnesw.cfg - use a text editor (Word Pad) to open it and locate the following line: ; GUI Disable (1 = Disable GUI, 0 = Enable GUI) GUIDisable = 0 Change it to this: ; GUI Disable (1 = Disable GUI, 0 = Enable GUI) GUIDisable = 1 Now, open GameEx up and let ZSNES rip. You should be good to go. TIPS: If you need to, you can also set the 'Saves' path for state and battery saves in the zsnes.cfg file. Hope that helps.
  9. That's pretty sweet except for that whole red text on red background thing.
  10. Thanks for the well wishing and thanks for the new release as a gift. In my industry, however, this is our busiest time of the year and I'll be running myself into the ground for the great people of America who want to pay $3.09/gal for gas in their massive SUVs and campers. God bless America!
  11. Sorry... I was unable to find any command line related info for FreezeSMS, so I can't help ya. I'm not too great at the sendkeys thing either. Perhaps someone here can explain that feature for both of us. If you want an easy / temporary solution, grab KEGA until someone helps you set that up. Sorry I couldn't help ya...
  12. I missed two. I'm actually a little disappointed in myself for missing the third one... All time greatest boxing game ever!
  13. You need to go to the tab you have the emulator set up on (ie - Emulator 6 or what have you) head to the last page of the emulator configuration screen. Under the 'database' pull-down menu, select the console you want a database to display for... (ie - to show N64 data, select N64 fom the pull-down menu.) Hope that helps!
  14. Hey ya. You set the sample path in the mame.ini file (or mame32 interface), then GameEx reads it off there. You may have to update your game list after that, not sure. Hope that helps!
  15. Amos ol buddy... I was about to start working on the Emulator Configurations section on my web site, and I was wondering if it would be alright if I used your emulator icons that are packaged in he Alpha Blue theme? I intend to break the configurations down by system, and your perfectly sized snaps would be awesome for navigation purposes... ie - click on the Nintendo picture to access the emulator list for the NES console. Thanks in advance for your help!
  16. Hi amos! Love the theme, but have a couple EMU's to request... Atari 7800 Jaguar Neo Geo Pocket Colecovision Intellivision Thanks and good work.
  17. I'm pretty sure that if you click the ? in the GameEx toolbar it'll tell you what version you're using. Hope that helps!
  18. Entirely up to you big guy. As long as you don't mind the extra traffic and all... Like I said before - the less in your way I get the better.
  19. To be honest... I would rather it that way. I just put the forum up so I wouldn't be all in your way. I don't really have time to maintain a forum, so if you'd be willing to do that, I'd be thankful.
  20. Thanks. The GameEx advanced configurations is the real labor muncher since your FE have so many options (not that that's a bad thing!) but after another 3 days or so I should have that completed. *knocks on wood* I could use a couple things from the community, however... If anyone has a nice set of console system pictures (that are the same size and preferably in .gif format although I can convert them myself), I would like to have them for the Emulator setup portion of the site. That would be extremely helpful. I also intend to set up a forum specifically for config questions and posts. As soon as it's up I'll post a link and anyone who would like to contribute their .cfg files can do so. Thanks everyone for your help! .:EDIT:. The forum is now up and running. If anyone has .cfg files to donate, stop in and upload 'em to me. Thanks!:.

    Icons

Your icons still appear in MAME32? Maybe you need to get into the MAME .cfg and check your icon path settings. Hope that helps!
  22. I'm sure the space needed would be les than a gig, but don't quote me on that. Hope that helps.
  23. I like what you've done, but I have one tiny little request... Your database files open up with my Microsoft Excel but I can't edit them. Would it be possible to make them easy to change? I noticed alot of the ROMs in my games list don't have descriptions and some emulators don't have a DB at all.
  24. You know I love to see new updates! Way to go Tom! I'll have to look ath the config menu to make sure I didn't miss the option when I laid out the walkthrough from 6.32 .avi snaps? It can't get any better! How I love being a registered user.
  25. He's right. Also, you can go to zophar.net and get the GoodGUI utility to rename all your snaps and ROMs for nearly every console. Here's a link for your convenience: Zophar's Good Utilities Page Hope that helps!
