Hi Tom, did you ever get a chance to check this out? I had to use groups for the first time due to needing separate emulator configs for PS3 (one for PKG files and one for ISOs). I am thinking about grouping a few more to shorten my list but its not quite the same without the random video snaps.

Hi everyone, I have a GameEx setup on my HTPC, I've been slowing adding and tweaking it over some years. I see Evolution is coming along, and was considering switching. I did install arcade some time ago, but as I recall I went back to GameEx as Arcade was missing some game frontend features/options I used. However it looks like arcade has been updated quite a few times since then. So my questions are: What are the differences, as far as gaming frontend features for the 3 versions? Is Evolution beta still missing features that GameEx currently has? Is there a table somewhere that shows? I primarily use my fronted for emulating consoles... I am not as interested in MAME. I understand evolution is still in Beta and the intent is to slowly bring it in line with GameEx and eventually replace it, but I am curious if I should wait for it to progress further. I also understand that Arcade does not include any of the non-gaming features that the main version does. I don't have so much time as i used to for gaming and stuff like this, so before I begin installing and trying to figure out if its going to work for me, a quick overview like this would be helpful. No just the default for keyboard. For joystick I have custom keys enabled.

I see, thanks for the quick response. I have tried to adjust every setting possible in Girder (with different combos as well), with no success. It does not have an option to set key press length, as it works like a keyboard. If you hold a key down it just send repeats. I did try adjusting the anti-repeat options but it doesn't really improve functionality, as I had it set pretty low already. obviously if i hold down the key it will eventually register a key press but its still takes quite a while to scroll down even a small list of games. I also tried troubleshooting by changing lots of different input related options in gameex. AFter a few nights of changing configs and testing I thought I would just ask the question. Any chance of inserting an option in the setup wizard to use direct input instead of the GetAsynKeyState? This really breaks my whole setup. I have looked into switching to eventghost or other alternatives, but there is just no other automation software out there that has advanced functions such as conditionals and such. I use girder to automate various applications on my HTPC, it ties everything together. I would be glad to post my ini and log files if you think it would help, but i feel like if its not registering a key press it wouldn't really log anything. Hi, a bit of an issue since upgrading to 15.20. Emulated keyboard presses from my automation software (Girder) stopped working consistently. It now only registers a key press every 2-6 presses or so. Very erratic. This setup has worked flawlessly for 10+ years, until I updated GameEx. Any idea what might have changed in 15.20 that might have caused this? From reading the 15.20 news post it looks like GameEx was updated substantially on the back end. Was something input related changed? Background: I have been using GameEx for many years with the Promixis Girder automation software. I use it along with a USB IR dongle top control my HTPC with a IR remote control. It was only after I updated to 15.20 that these issues began. Girder is still the same version it has been for the last year or so, and works fine in all other applications. I am not 100% sure what version I updated from but it was for sure either 15.10 or 14.93. I suspect it was 15.10. I tried updating to 15.30 today but issue still persists. I could just go back to 15.10, but that would mean I could never again receive updates which is not ideal. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide!

Wheel Size Adjustment Feature Request Hi! First feature request: a way to increase the size of the wheel in regular GameEx. The logos are a little small, especially compared to Arcade edition. Seems like maybe its zoomed in or something in AE. Hi Tom, jumping on this promotion. I just tried to pay with paypal, but the website keeps saying "Sorry, the transaction has been refused". I know my paypal is good to go, and even tried on multiple browsers so I don't thinks its a browser thing. Is there a paypal address I can just send the money to to pay for my order? So I can Install both? Is there a way to link them somehow? I.e. replace the normal GameEx MAME interface with arcade edition?

Hi I am currently using standard GameEx, I have some console emus set up, but not MAME yet. Was just about to start setting up MAME then I saw this. Is Arcade Edition meant to integrate into or run side by side to GameEx? Or is it best to only install one or the other? Thanks!

Unserstandable, thanks for the info. Do the current GameEx licenses include a discount for EmuMovies? Like if I was to purchase Lifetime GameEx with Lifetime online pass does that come with a discount for EmuMovies or visaversa?

I purchased my lifetime GameEx license back in 2008 (still have the original email w/key from Tom), I was wondering if there are any discounts/promotions available for legacy lifetimers to obtain a new GameEx Lifetime/Online Lifetime/EmuMovies memberships? I got a 50% off EmuMovies membership with the key, but never used it, and of course its no longer valid now. Thanks!
