  1. Last night I reinstalled .net using the method in this video Then I ran the program all night and the error never recurred. I believe it was a .net issue all along. Thank you for the support and for the great product. Please mark this issue resolved.
  2. I did as you suggested, re-downloaded GameEx and installed over the top of existing install. Ran the program and .net error recurred. I turned off machine, then powered back on and ran program, .net error recurred. I then tried other suggestion, and ran .net repair tool in windows. It found no errors. I ran program and .net error recurred, again powered off and tried again and .net error recurred. I am running MAME version 0.207 as that was the version I had been on before the rebuild and I had no issues whatsoever, I just stayed with that version. Things I have noticed during troubleshooting. The error has never occurred during gameplay or when on a single game screen. The error occurs when left in GameEx "attract" mode while the system cycles thru available games, or at the moment you select a game (and it does not repeat on any given game when you try again.) not sure if this is pertinent or not. Any additional ideas or troubleshooting tips appreciated. Thank you
  3. GameEx.inilog.txt I have attached the files. Thank you for taking a look.
  4. I recently had to replace my old Arcade PC. After a few issues I had it up and running. I thought this nagging .NET error would go away after a few windows updates etc, but it has persisted. I can not reproduce it on purpose, it happens randomly. It will sometimes occur quickly on startup of Gameex, other times it may take over an hour to appear. Any thoughts or ideas on resolution would be appreciated.
  5. Thank you, but I have resolved the issue. I was able to correct some settings in GameEX that allowed me to launch games. I also launched games direct from the MAME menu, and my HotRod controller was not registering in MAME or GameEX. I knew I needed a computer with PS2 ports, so I put a PCI 2 port PS2 card in the new computer. That card worked fine on the test bench all PS2 keyboard and mouse functions were 100%. However, the PCI PS2 card and HotRod controller would not work together. I pulled the card, used an active USB to PS2 converter dongle and the Hot Rod instantly began working. I am working thru finalizing everything today and hopefully I can resolve all issues. Thank you and Tom for such a great application and for the support. If I have anything else I cant figure out, I will check back in.
  6. My old PC that ran my arcade finally died. I built a new PC and pre installed everything on it while at a desk before moving it to the Arcade cabinet. (everything seemed to be running fine while at the desk) Once in the cabinet with the HotRodSE connected GameEX got buggy. GameEX will start and login, roller ball or keyboard will scroll thru menu and games, to select game keyboard wont work, controller will. Launch game fails. I went into the MAME folder and created a configuration set, added hotrodse to the core input options ctrlr line. I am not sure what I am missing, Changes in the GameEX setup or somewhere in the MAME config. New system is Windows 10PRO old system was windows 10 I would appreciate any input on how to get her back up and running. Thank you John
  7. This is resolved, I moved the directory and installed the 32 bit to root of drive... all is good. The controller now works with the -config and its looking good.
  8. OK, then do I need to enable them to play somewhere? My background is always just has the name of the game scrolling across.
  9. I am trying to get this going as well, once downloaded where do you place the files and do I point something to that folder in Gameex setup?
  10. Windows 10 does recognize the device, it will register imput in wordpad and word. I have not tried MAME 32 bit with Gameex. My OS drive (C) is a small SSD, I would prefer to install all files on a much larger SATA drive (E). If you think I would do better starting over with MAME 32, just let me know and I can.
  11. In the setup of Gameex under advanced mame options listing I have it there, but it seems to have no effect.
  12. Is there a way to have the “command line” associated with the desktop launch icon, or do you have to type it from a command prompt each time?
  13. I have gotten the program to run but when I go into Mame in the program it says no games found, but under all games they are there and seem to launch fine. My other issue is the controller .cfg. I have a HotRod controller, and the .cfg is in the Mame64 Ctrlr folder, in my old setup using Mame32 I could just set the HotRod controller from within Mame and apply to all games, but this version does not support that. Do I configure that within Ganmeex or via a command line \switch? Thank you for your help.
