tglopez started following Third Monitor View - GameEx
-
I have a three monitor setup on my computer. When selecting the "display on second monitor" option, I can get GameEx to show up on my second monitor on "full screen" -- but can't figure out how to have it default or show up on a third monitor. I simply can't move the window over. Any suggestions on how to fix the issue is appreciated. Thanks!

Thanks! Yes -- I didn't yet receive a prompt. Will download now.

Hi Tom - Have you pushed out the update in the application? I don't think I've received a notice. Thanks!

Problem fixed. Rather than add send key language and timer, I removed it from the emulator settings and this fixed the problem. Apparently, the flash full screen was reverting back to windowed screen because of the default. Removing the default kept the game in full screen mode.

Yes - it’s strange. Outside of GameEx, I can get it to start in full screen mode. Within GameEx , it flashes full screen at first, then it reverts to a smaller windowed screen. How would I do a “send keys”?

I'm trying to configure the ColEm ColecoVision emulator to startup in fullscreen mode via GameEx, but it keeps defaulting to a smaller screen. Within ColEm, I've set "fullscreen mode" -- but it defaults back. Is there a command line edit I can add to GameEx to force full-screen startup? Thank you.

Problem fixed! I had to move the MAME executable and graphics files to the same drive where GameEx was installed. Suddenly, everything appears instantaneously and launches quickly. Thanks to everyone for your help.

Just installed them and doesn't seem to be making a difference. I'm wondering if there are other adjustments I might consider.

No issues found under the event viewer. Good news -- menus are moving more quickly. Bad news -- still very slow when bringing up artwork associated with menu items and - particularly - games under MAME (marquee, etc). Also, as noted in the attached log, exit process is taking a long time. Not sure how to address this. Note that all artwork is on an SSD drive. gameexlog.txt

Thanks, @Draco1962. Here's the log. How do I check the event viewer? gameexlog.txt

Installed the latest Nvidia drivers, rebooted, and program is still moving extremely slow from menu item to menu item, screen to screen in a way it wasn't doing so before. I also noticed that when I shut down GameEx, the jukebox music continues playing for a good 15-20 seconds after the program is no longer seen. Something is hanging up this program and I can figure out what. I have a dual video card set up -- but that wasn't an issue with 1703. Any other suggestions?

Hi Tom and Team, I recently updated my computer from Windows 10 (v. 1703) to 1709 (Creators Update) and it's brought GameEx to a crawl. Before the update, all the menus, video snaps, pictures, etc popped up on the screen quickly and seamlessly. Now, the program hangs for 15 seconds or longer between menus and when starting games. I've attached the log and .ini file here for further inspection but hoping you can help. Thank you. gameexini.txt gameexlog.txt

For some reason, GameEx isn't prompting me to update to 15.20-- and has in the past. Is there a way to force the program to do so, or do I have to do so manually (ie, download the full file and install)?

For some reason, GameEx isn't prompting me to update to 15.21-- and has in the past. Is there a way to force the program to do so, so I don't have to do a full reinstall?
