  3. Thank you, here you are. log.txt and GameEx.ini are from an older version I'm using here but I got the same issue with the last GameEx used on a different pc. thanks again! log.txt GameEx.ini
  4. Hello there, I realised that in GameEx is impossible to setup properly the icons folder for Daphne. There is no appropriate option in gameex.ini if you see in setupwizard probably there is a conflict with the logo option as the "Daphne logo images path" is repeated 2 times and there is no option for icons. I tried to add manually the line in gameex.ini but no success so far. I tried with the last version of gameex standard but also tried older versions. I hope you can do something to fix it. Thanks in advance
  5. Hello there, I have a feature request to advance. you know, people that have a deep knowledge of arcade games, isn't just interested to the parent sets but there is much interest in clone sets as well. As far as the front end stands, clones are displayed in a way that doesn't look pretty well: there is a repetition of the parent game name even 10+ times (Street Fighter II to name one). This isn't that clean and you can't see the list at a glance. In a list with clones there is also the problem that the name is too long and you even lose part of the name due to the length of the name itself (in the brackets), specially if you are using a 640*480 CRT resolution. Approaching the list in the way of the attached example, could be a smart way to show a clean list even with clones. In this way we could have room to display the full text in the bracket and even the rom name of the game (for example: Double Dragon (US set 1) - ddragonu I really hope this features for clones could be doable. thanks
  6. Well, the problem is that now days Mame supports to many games thanks again for your work and your support.
  7. Following your advice I started to change options to build the list. Under the "Mame Settings" tabs I turned on the options: "Verify Roms" and "Only existing roms" This reduced my All Mame game list to 8888 and now all the icones are displayed! hope this can help you to understand better the strange behaviour of the list.
  8. Hello and thanks for the answer, I enabled the list. all mame games reports 13854 games. I also updated again after enabling list numbers but it didn't solve. For what I remember I didn't have the issue in past version of GameEx, like 17.11 thanks for your support
  9. thanks, here you are also a couple of pics that show what I mean; one is the favourite list, as you can see as the V names start, icons are no longer shown. and in last played you can see Wonderboy without icon. thanks again log.txt
  10. Hello there, I have a strange issue with the front end: although I got the usual icons in my MAME icons folder, gameex, starting from the V (to Z) letter , doesn't show anymore the corresponding icons leaving a blank space. It's weird, it was working until the version I was using before (17.11 if I'm not wrong). So basically it displays all the right icons from A to V list and it "forgets" the remaining ones. it happens in all the list I got, like All mame games, Favourites, last games played I tried to change directory of MAME icons, also changed the directory from insede the setupwizard. I download a new set (but the old one was good and checked, Wonderboy, Zaxxon ad other games having names beginning with V to Z letters, all the right icons are properly present), I updated the list, I even totally uninstalled gameex making a clean install, rebuilding the lists. noway, I can't have all the icons again. Please, have you got any advice to solve the issue? here is my gameex.ini. thanks GameEx.ini
  11. Thank you very much| I let you know!
  12. Thanks for the answer! please could you help me explaining the way to do in the front end to do what you said? I didn’t get it very much Thank you very much!
  13. Thank you very much, I’ll try it later.
  14. Thank you very much! Please could you suggest me the right menu where I can find “change view”? I’m looking through the setup wizard but I didn’t find the option. Thanks!
  15. Hello, I'm trying to change background mode but it seems it doesn't work properly. I'm trying theme "ArcadeVGA Low res" I set "display black background" but I still have the videosnaps running as background. I'm running 640x480 and although there is room to see the videosnaps in a corner of the screen, the preference goes automatically to show the videosnaps as backgorund. Is there a way to see the videosnaps in usual picture instead of to have it in full screen as background? thanks
  16. Coming back on topic, I'm wondering if it is possible to see the actual rom name. I mean. In gameEx you find: DOUBLE DRAGON [US SET 1]. the romset of this game is DDRAGONU. is there a way to read the actual rom set of the selected game? Thanks
  17. thanks for the answer. I do think that a feature like that would be quite helpful. I really hope this could be considered for next versions of the frontend. thanks again
  18. Hello there, I was wondering if there is a way to see the actual zip file name of a specific romset. I mean. If open a search for "Wonderboy" I receive a list of games concerning "Wonderboy" and his clones. about these games I can see the specific rom set version in the brackets but I can't see the actual file name of the zip in question. Is there a way to see it? thanks
  19. It works perfect with 16.27. To be said I didn't check with other versions but Arcade which is perfect now. thanks again!!!!
  20. Thanks so much! As soon as I'm able to test it (tonight hopefully) I'll report my feedback. thanks again!
  21. Hi, thanks for the advice. I tried DoNotFilterRoms=mazinger;mazinger No success to report.
  22. Hello, thanks for the answer. yes I did. I updated the list I’m sure about the name. To be precise my GameEx.ini reports: DoNotFilterRoms=mazinger; mazinger.zip I used both (with and without the extension) to be sure but I tried also both the single ways (only mazinger.zip or mazinger). updating the list.
  23. there was no entry as I removed it after that I realised it didn't work. I did it now again now. thanks GameEx.ini log.txt
  24. thanks for the hint, sadly I already tried that way with no success.
  25. btw I reported the Game Ex arcade version showed in the log.txt although I'm sure I downloaded the 16.20.
