    merge sets

If I have folders set: roms folder --good set sub-folder --nointro set sub-folder --tosec set sub-folder and "scan sub folders" = yes "merge sets" = yes will it display all sets merged together or are the naming conventions too different? what about adding nongood sets?
  3. I don't see how you can do the part in bold. Right now you can use gameex to set up the following media folders (If there is a way to set up more I haven't noticed it): Jukebox Videos ebooks pictures DVDs on Disk I currently use: Videos for recent recordings folder Jukebox for itunes music folder ebooks for comics folder pictures for photos folder DVDs on Disk for DVD rips folder I'd like an add "new item" --> Item type --> media folder so i can have: media folder1 item name = TV item location = D:\media\archives\TV media folder2 item name = Podcasts item location = C:\itunes\podcasts media folder3 item name = Music Videos item loaction = D:\music\misc\videos
  4. I'd like custom menus to be able to point to other media folders. For example: tv, music videos, podcasts.

    ebooks

Here's how I fixed this problem on win7(64bit): 1. Uninstall Ghostscript, (worked via windows control panel and there was no registry key to delete). 2. Delete the gs folder. 3. OfflineGameManualInstall.exe does not exist! It was not there. I re-downloaded and reinstalled the latest version of GameEx and it is still not there. (the mythical beast defies those who seek it. ) 4. After reinstalling Gameex manuals are working. Still hoping for an answer to my other question: "Is there a way to display the files other than fillwidth? I'd like to be able to see a whole page at a time and preferably two at a time."

    ebooks

I have two questions about ebooks. First, I've been trying the ebook reader with .cbz files. Is there a way to display the files other than fillwidth? I'd like to be able to see a whole page at a time and preferably two at a time. Second, I can't get .pdf manuals to work. I read through the forums and see that I can probably fix this with "OfflineGameManualInstall.exe", but I can't seem to find this on the site. Where is this located?

    image2

How does gameex determine what shows up in the image2 box. Sometimes it shows 3dcabinets, sometimes it shows marquees, sometimes it shows something else.
  8. Okay, so this is theme dependent. The theme I was using didn't have any images in the theme folder. Also .jpg doesn't seem to work just .png.
  9. When I click it I get a one line blank drop down.
  10. In the Advanced Config app for each emulator there is a Custom Background option. How do I use this field? I can't type in it and there is no options to select.
  11. Anyone know how to by-pass the misfitmame 0.128 disclaimer via the .ini or command line? I'm not seeing the option, and I'd rather do it that way then with send keys.
  12. Control panels: It seems there are many ways that you can set up navigation controls on a control panel and I'm not really sure how/why people choose different methods. I don't even know which methods are most popular so let me ask how/why you set up your navigation controls. what inputs do you use for: a. moving up, down left right in the menu system? ? player 1 joystick ? either player 1 or player 2 joystick (both will work) ? separate joystick ? other b. select (enter) and back ? player 1 buttons 1 and 2 ? either player 1 or player 2 buttons 1 and 2 (both will work) ? separate set of buttons ? other c. page up and page down ? button joystick combo ? separate buttons (which ones) ? separate joystick ? other d. power and sleep ? hidden buttons ? side buttons ? menu selection ? other e. sound/volume controls? ? knob ? on/off switch ? vol up, vol down buttons ? mute button ? other f. pause g. esc h. L button Some layouts I've seen including some really nice ones at Knievels kustoms have at the top center: a joystick, a spinner and two buttons. Assuming these are nav controls, how are these inputs used? I have an idea that the joystick is for moving around the menu system, one button is use for select (enter) and one for back (and maybe esc). The spinner might be used for page up and page down but that's a wilder guess than the others. If you use Gameex videos or jukebox, what if any inputs do you use for media controls (Play/Pause, FF, RWD, Next track, Previous Track) Other: I have an idea to put a second drawer under a keyboard drawer for storage of console controllers. Any reason this won't work or is a bad idea? If you use console controllers for console emulation do you have any wired controllers or are you all wireless? If you have wired controllers how/where do you run the wires? Assuming I will need some wired controllers is there any reason that putting usb ports below the monitor would be a bad idea? Wired or wireless light guns?
  13. RadioTime.com has a plugin for Windows Media Center. It would greatly expand the radio feature of GameEx if this can be ported to GameEx.
