  1. Mark this one as resolved. You guys give good hints that send me on the right path. I simply went into the Gameex Advanced Emulator Setup and changed the Map directory to the correct path and that solved it. Apparently it was setup for the wrong directory this whole time and I never even noticed the option was there. Side note to RedDog: Thanks for the tips. I was able to redirect everything over to my Mame folders and now I have video's, logos, etc.
  2. Well one thing I've noticed while digging around is once I'm inside the "Assets" folder which is in the "Emulation" folder, I have a Mame, Sega Genesis, Nintendo Snes and Arcade folders. When I go into the Arcade folder there is another folder called Winkawaks. Once I click on that I see all the sub folders like boxes, cartridges, controls, snaps, etc, but all of them are empty except for the Snaps folder which has 5 snaps. There is a folder named "Not Found" here which is filled with every other Rom title I have(example: aof.notf, bstars.notf,etc). On the other hand, my other folders for Mame, Sega, etc are filled with snaps, boxes etc. I'm assuming the winkawaks folder should be updating like the other emulators do? If you need to see another .ini file or something let me know. I don't think it has anything to do with my rom names as I have 3 different sets and have the same issue with all of them(I checked and the rom titles all match the rom titles in my mame set which work).
  3. Ok, I did find this folder and the WinKawaks.map file is in there. Any suggestions on what to do next?
  4. I'm running WinKawaks through GameEx to run all of my NeoGeo roms. Works perfectly except for the fact that all the games display in GameEx as their "filename". Example "Baseball Stars 2" displays in GameEx as "bstars2". No screen shots, videos, etc show up either. I don't have this issue with any other emulators I run. Before anyone simply suggests why don't I just run the roms through Mame, well I'm running an old Rom set through Mame(.119) and the NeoGeo Roms in here are all very small when they load up. By small I mean there's a very large bezel and the game displays in the middle about the size of a Gameboy screen. Yes, all the screen shots, videos, etc are present here and the titles all show up, but how to I get them to show up when I run the roms through WinKawaks? I've toyed around with the setup and I cannot get this to change. In setup, the Database reads [Arcade] Arcade (WinKawaks), but this is still not solving the issue. I've attached this file below. I keep reading stuff about .map files, but I cannot find 1 map file anywhere on my hard drive. Is this the problem? [Arcade] Arcade (WinKawaks).ini
  5. Ahh well nevermind wasting your time on this. i solved it. Not sure how i had 2 separate setup wizard files and 1 of them somehow wasn't linked to the Gameex I was using. I had a shortcut on my desktop that I had been using and apparently that was no good. I went into the Gameex Folder in the start menu and used that one and low and behold none of my other emulators showed there. Once I added them everything worked. Hope you didn't start digging through those files. Thanks.
  6. I'm new to this fyi, but here they are. log.txt GameEx.ini
  7. I'm struggling with getting other emulators to show in the Gameex menu when i load it up. Of note: I DO have each emulator "Enabled" in case that is your first instinct. Secondly, I have Gameex running on 2 computers and I have double checked every setting to compare my emulator settings and yes they all match. On one computer they show and the other they don't. Directories are the same, etc. So on 1 computer I see NES, Genesis, etc showing up in my menus and then on the other one they don't show anywhere. I've ran the "Update List" function to no avail either. I can't figure out what I'm missing unless something is messed up in my .ini file? If needed I can upload my .ini file or screen shots. Hoping it's something simple I've overlooked.
  8. Well, after typing out my post last night I just went and reinstalled Gameex and everything is working fine. Once it updated the rom's list upon start up everything worked just fine. I guess in hindsight I should have just hit the "Update list" option on the main screen, but of course I never noticed it was there until it was too late. Good to go now. Thanks for the help.
  9. Looking for advice on this issue. I've had mame w/Gameex running smooth w/out any issues for a while. I got everything installed in my cabinet with the x arcade tankstick, etc. Kept running into issues with sticky keys/hot keys, etc and it was kicking me out of Gameex. Got the sticky/hot key issue resolved, reloaded Gameex and none of my favorites show up and the games won't load. I checked the setting and the folders for the roms and emulator are correct. Rebooted and it worked. Then I had another sticky key issue(forgot to uncheck a box) and rebooted again. Now the games won't load again no matter how many times i reboot. Any suggestions? Side note, I ran the download art/videos program in the Gameex folder and after about 30 minutes I gave up as it kept relooping over the same games. The above issue started right around the same time as I did this also. Wondering if i should just delete Gameex and reinstall it or is there something I'm missing?
