That windows 10 machine is a HP compaq DC7800.. i guess its from around 2008-2009. The guy i bought it from had installed a fresh windows 10 on it. It was only 30 euro (complete with 320Gb HD) so i thought it was perfect for a mame only cab.. HP only has drivers till windows 7 for this machine so maybe i have to install win7 on it to work properly.

Yes both gave me exact same errors, and both have internal standard video output (so no external videocard). If i can run hyperspin on both, which i dont want btw LOL) i should be able to run gameex as well. On my first cab i have running gameex for years now without problem but thats a 32 bit system and not 64 bit.

Hi all; I am setting up 2 (older) PC's to run GameEx so I downloaded and installed GameEx. Both machines gave me same error on startup so what am I missing here? Both are 64 bit machines: a desktop with fresh windows 10 and the other windows 7 laptop. Log included from the desktop PC. log.txt

I just tried the facebook notification option, wouldn't it be even more fancier if there is also a snapshot of the game added? If possible? So friends can see instantly what awesome games you play? -
Ok all thx for the info and especially Tom .. everything is working now. Happy 2015 everyone!!

I seem to have trouble with this new "online" setup. Before I could see myself and my gamecard in the Gameex Live page, but now with the new websites; when I logon on GameEx Online my profile is empty, it says "no data available for this user - no data yet and no games found" and no option for gamecard or something else.. Can someone help me out with this? Do I also have to change something in GameEx setup itself? Yesterday I updated it to the latest version.. is all my gamehistory lost? Greetings Kris "oxbow"

OK, added a "escape" button in the top and drilled a hole and attached a fourth button. I am out of red buttons so I will make a hole for a fourth button for the second player when they arrive. Now fixing marquee lighting and adding some speakers..
-
Hmmm. I also have steam enabled. I think this is my "second" system then

hi there, I just upgraded from PC, reinstalled GameEx and only have mame installed so far, so no other emulator is installed. But on the gamercard I see I have 2 installed systems.? Grtz

@stigzler Yes thats an ash-tray on the left side So this cabinet was probably for use (as a rent) in a cafe or lunapark, it's a nice gadget, it remembers me the times I was allowed to smoke in a cafe and constantly spoil ashes over the joystickholes and burn the knobs ;p but I quited smoking for a while now and if I want to place 6 buttons/player I have to remove it to make space for a bigger plexiglass. This weekend I gonna drill holes to have 4 buttons/player, that's more as enough for me. I was thinking to drill two extra holes in the upperplate where the speakers are (just behind the marquee) to have a couple admin buttons, like an "escape" key and extra "coin"key. Today I also bought some a stronger (second hand) PC, a 3,4 Ghz pentium with 2GB ram and a 6600 Videocard, since my current desktop in it has no videocard at all and is some old pentium from the late 90s.. to be continued...

Hi guys, after some "arcade" inactivity I decided to get some new cabs. Acquired myself two cabs yesterday, a red and a black one. First I want to restore the red cabinet. I replaced all the old buttons, putted a TV LCD inside, but did get bad viewing angle, so I placed it upside down, rotated XP and the viewing angle is now perfect; also from a distance. The controls are hooked up on a Xin-Mo USB controller, the coindoor is also fully working (except the lightbulbs inside which I have to fix), and it has WIFI and bluetooth on board I also can use my wireless keyboard and mouse. I still got a lot of work to do, like replacing the joysticks, put in a decent marquee, fixing the light for marquee, renewing the plexiglass for the control panel, put in the PC-mainboard and HD (now I quickly placed the whole desktop in it), change/add good speakers and drill some holes for a 4th button per player and some admin buttons. I also need to put a glass with some small bezel in it. As last I want to print and add arcade vinyl on the sides, and put some bottom and back ledstrips. And then I can start on my black cabinet here are some pictures so far... My black cabinet to do.. grtz

Well now you see my problem when I play visual pinball my gamertag dissapeares; but comes back when I play a Mame game .. I noticed I have the same issue wtih some other emulators too (epsxe) ..

Hi all; long time no see here I decided to update my cabinet software & hardware; and I missed maybe 3 a 4 years of updating so I noticed many things are changed; awesome work! I did a clean new install on a mid/hi end Windows 7 machine now; and changed all my visual pinball tables into the rotated tables (to play them vertical). A whole new & great experience I've made up a "Gamer tag" but I don't see this emulator appearing in the Gameex live page; MAME and the rest of the emulators is showing properly except visual pinball.. now is my question: how come? Grtz
