  1. I've seen some sweet LED implementation on control panels on the net. But I would love to see a step more. Is it possible, in any emulator to cause an "LED Animation" on your control panel due to events in an emulated game (such as on MAME) Imagine Marvel Vs. Capcom Ryu summons his super charged energy attack /My Buttons Shimmer bright energized colors/ Ryu Unleashes /Energized colors rush from left to right! through both players buttons!/ is that possible? or does that require info from the game that would be hard to tap? Perhaps the button combination to cause the attack in game could case the animation on the panel?
  2. Headkaze you are the man when it comes to these sweet plugins, I will have to hit you up when I decide to try to implement one of these crazy Ideas. I really like the idea of a changing marquee on top! I will have to try and track down a monitor that will fit in the marquee spot
  3. I just committed to using GameEx as my cabinet's font end I am looking forward to fashioning a spiffy front end with it! I am really new to this software and community, but you guys have been a great help already. I look forward to working with you guys Idea For Arcade Cabinet Prop: Spinning bicycle wheels on top of the Cabinet with LEDs making moving pictures. Check this out: Its a kit from this site called Spoke POV: http://www.ladyada.net/make/spokepov/ Maybe a GameEx plugin could be made to control what images are displayed? Too huge and ungainly? Maybe... Super Cool? Definitely!
  4. Thanks again for all your help guys. I've been having some trouble configuring the plugins. When I click the configure button, nothing happens. Is that a registered feature only?
  5. MetaHacker (Alex Markson), the creator of the Dope Brothers cabinet said that this was a very helpful and open community. He was right! You guys helped me out right away Does anyone have any experience with the rgb led's that he used. I thought the light up buttons that changed for every game/console was a really nifty and unique feature. I assume that that is a program that GameEx calls when you select the game/console in the menu? Very slick...
  6. Look at this amazing arcade cabinet: There is also a radio cast about it here: http://podcastdownload.npr.org/anon.npr-po...SS_17451249.mp3 There were some great features on there that I would love to know how he did. How Did He...?: ...Make custom sounds when selecting menus? ("ATARI 2600.../Tank Fire/.../BOOM!/") ...Make Custom Game Announcments when starting a game? ("Combat 1977...Atari") ...Light up buttons based on what game he was playing? ...Play custom soundtrack for the menus? I am currently building a multi-arcade cabinet of my own. I am new to GameEx, and I would like to learn all about it. If you guys know of any other amazing arcade cabinets, or know some other neat features I should include, let me know!
