  1. Thanks guys. Ideally I was looking for a pre-made one. However I'm willing to give it a shot when I get a few hours...
  2. My arcade cabinet machine gets used by my son for recording his Xbox gameplay and a few other things, via remote desktop. He has his own account on it. By default the machine boots into the "Arcade" account which fires up GameEx. I've edited the Windows boot screens, removed Windows branding etc so the boot looks pretty good. However there is a period of time where the mouse cursor appears. I know you can get rid of this and make the cursor effectively invisible but that's going to make things tricky for my son. I was wondering if there is any way of getting around this. Perhaps telling Windows not to centre the cursor but to have it in a corner where it would be hidden? Or maybe it could be hidden but automatically restored when he remotes into his own account.
  3. My arcade cab is decorated with Street Fighter II decals so was wondering if there is a SF theme I could use? Thanks
  4. My newly registered copy of GameEx has got its nag screen back. Nothing else has changed. I can get it to start without the nag screen if I run it as administrator. However, if I set this in the app's properties, it won't then start automatically with Windows (shortcut in the Startup folder), even with the UAC turn off. I'm running Win 10 64bit
  5. OK I fixed that last problem by enabling custom mapping and doing it in there instead. No idea why it went wrong but works now. Thanks for your help.
  6. OK thanks a lot, This actually seems to be working OK now then. However I now seem to have a problem with my main gameex button mappings. I used to have Button 1 as select, Button 2 as back and Button 3 as page. Was working fine. Now Button 2 doesn't do anything but Button 3 is back. None of the 6 buttons are page. I've been through the wizard and deleted and readded them and it's detecting the buttons fine and showing them being mapped, but they act as above. I guess I must have changed something but I can work out what?
  7. Hi. I tried the global exit and whilst one controller button worked I couldn't get a combo to work. The wizard doesn't seem to accept two simultaneous button presses. So I found the config file that related to that and found global exit entry but couldn't get it to work. Is the pipe an AND or an OR?
  8. Sorry, attached. I can work out how to exit using a single dedicated controller button but I don''t have enough buttons in the right places to do that so I'm looking to do with via a key combination. In MAME I've arranged it so when you press Player 1 and Player 2 start buttons it exits to GameEx and I'd like my SNES9X to do the same ideally. I could add a new button at a push but I'd rather not given it's all painted now. GameEx.ini log.txt
  9. I'd like to donate and pay to register but I can't. When I press to pay I get not_a_string error. Some other thread suggests this is to do with Paypal? Anyway, if you can sort this out, I'll pay.
  10. Hi. I've managed to a get a ROM working in SNES9X but I cant find a way to escape back to GameEx using the controls on my cabinet. Any pointers? Thanks
  11. I made a few changes at once to hard to be sure which one fixed it. I had a setup working on another PC so I tried to get the non-working one configured the same. The two main changes were that I reinstalled MAMEUIFX as a 32 bit instead of 64 and then reinstalled GameEX.
  12. Hi. I'm trying to set GameEx up for my mame arcade cab. I downloaded a pack of 0.161 ROMS and am using MAMEUIFX . For the most part GameEx is working OK, however it's not showing all the working roms. For instance I happen to like GoldenAxe and I cannot find that despite there being several working versions in MAMEUIFX. Things I've tried: Updating the games list in GameEx Updating and verifying roms in MAMEUIFX and then updating list in GameEx Turning off/on Verify ROMS Turning the filter off entirely I'm new to all this and missing some knowledge - I cannot work out what GameEx is doing to generate it's list and how it decides what to exclude, Any pointers gratefully received. I was up to 2am last night trying this LOL!
