  1. I was referred to this section to make a feature request. I read several pages and noticed that gStAv has already submitted the request: "The files I made have a lenght of 35sec, after that it's silent, although the video might loop the table audio does not. maybe an option of table audio looping would be cool for some?" I'd just like to second it.... Thanks for a FANTASTIC program!
  2. I actually de-muxed it from a topper video. I have added topper videos to all my tables and have been using the audio track for any table that does not have attract mode audio. The topper videos can't play audio in PinballX (for good reason), so I was hoping to do it this way. It just seemed logical that any Table Audio would loop just as the video does. Draco, I tried looping the audio, but the file size would make it prohibited (multiplied by 100s of files). It would also be alot of work, unless I found a batch audio looper. The most elegant solution would be to have PinballX loop the Table Audio... is there a reason this would be undesireable? Just curious.
  3. I don't know if this is a bug, feature, or setting that I could change, but when I leave any table in 'Attact Mode', the table audio will only play 1 time. After that I get the default 'Pinball Wizard' and then nothing. I would like to have the Table Audio loop just as the Table Video does. This happens for any table that is displayed in 'Attract Mode' for a few minutes. Any way to do this? Thanks!
  4. Thanks Tom! Appreciate your quick response and adding those parameters.
  5. Thanks Tom! I don't want to push my luck, but can I also ask for Description and rating?
  6. I have a 4 screen cab and I wrote a program to display graphics/information about the table in the 4th screen. I've been able to do this by keeping a database of all tables, mame games, PC games and others. The program takes the [TABLENAME] parameter and runs a search of the database. I built a hybrid Pinball/Arcade cab similar to Pinkadia. It would be much easier, if when launching a table/game, I could just use the parameters to display the info. I could also add a few more 'features' with the added parameters.
  7. Great update adding 4th screen support! I would like to ask if you would list the available parameters that PinballX passes to 3rd party apps. I know you have [TABLEPATH] ? [TABLENAME], but there was talk months ago of adding more. Among those brought up were manufacturer, year, etc... Have any more been added yet? Thanks...
  8. Adultery, I noticed there have been some new PinballX updates since I asked about adding some additional parsing parameters. Not to be pushy, especially when a baby is involved (been there), but any progress made on this? Thanks!
  9. No problem... If you could add that functionality, that would be great! i'll watch for the update... thanks!
  10. I'm trying to launch a program, using Pinball X's 'Launch Before' feature. The program would display the Table Name, Manufacturer, and year made in a 4th window under my DMD. It would get the parameters, hopefully from Pinball X (if it can do this). If not I'd have to try another route (like use the tablename to search the proper XML for the required info). My question - can Pinball X send that info by way of parameters when it calls the 'Launch before' program?
  11. Can Pinball X send more than just the Table Path and name parameters? I'd like to launch a program before the table that would be passed the manufacturer of the table selected and the year it was created. Does Pinball X have any parameters that would send this info?
  12. I removed all start up videos, althoiugh the problem doesn't occur after startup. It happens after I scroll through X number of tables. I made the follwing 2 tests: Attempt 1) I just started PinballX with no startup videos. The first table showing was Ghostbusters. I started scrolling using the right arrow key. I made it to Godzilla (1 table)... the table video froze. The scrolling continued to Goldeneye. PinballX froze showing Goldeneye's Wheel image, BG video and playing table audio. I had to CTR-ALT-DEL to sign out. I logged back in and this is the resulting LOG file. Attempt 2) Started as above with Ghostbusters... scrolled all the way to Sinbad (approx 60 tables). Table video froze. Scrolled to Super Mario Brothers - BG video froze. Scrolled to Tee'd Off. Wheel image displayed and PinballX freezes. Saved this log file in a new directory. Looked at both log files, and they were identical, so I'm just sending the original log file. It doesn't show any more info than the one I sent yesterday. It's very difficult to determine a cause since the freezes are not happening on the same files. One time it works on table X, the next time it will freeze on it. BTW, when I press CTl-TAB to put the focus back on PinballX (just in case it jumped to another program), it does nothing. It shows 3 PinballX processes - Main screen (PinballX) and 2 PinballX Back Glass icons - a black rectangular box and the other is the BG image. Hope this helps. log1.txt UPDATE! I was going to test the problem by running PinballX by skipping different elements. I started by renaming the Table Audio directory so it would not be used when browsing tables. This seems to have done the trick! I was able to browse 100's of tables without freezing up. So I will need to convert the audio files. Presently they are in MP3 format. Encoded by Lavc57.30. Variable bit rate. 44100 mhz. WinAmp shows 128 kbps, while doing seperate properties check shows varying bitrate values for each file. So the question is: What format should the audio files be? MP3 or OGG? What about the bitrate? Variable or constant? Please let me know... and Draco, thannks for your help and speedy replies - much appreciated! Update 2: When I went back to the PinCab, it was frozen again. While it was playing random tables, it froze with the screen showing the Metallica wheel image and the BreakShot table video and BG video. Thought I had it!
  13. OK... started up PinballX and then began scrolling through the tables. I made it through about 50-60 tables, when it froze. I have the 2 files you asked for. log.txt PinballX.ini
  14. I do have the latest Nvidia GTX 960 drivers and the current PinballX installed. It's pretty much a stock Windows 10 install, as this is just used for a PinCab. I will send the requested ini\log files the next time it freezes on me. Thanks Draco
  15. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a temporary fix. It started doing it again the same day. I uninstalled PinballX, re-installed it, re-did the table videos at 30 fps and it still freezes up sometimes. The only way out is ctl-alt-del. The problem occurs randomly... it's not a certain table, as it's non-repeatable.It doesn't happen as often as it did before the codec install, but it's still often enough to be bothersome. If anyone had this problem and fixed it, I'd love to hear it.
