  1. Okay, I'm going to ask what is probably a very basic and simple question, yet I haven't been able to figure it out: I've entered and played a table from within Pinball X. Now I want to exit that table and get back to Pinball X without quitting visual pinball (which usually ends up locking up my system for a minute or two and requires my mouse to get back to the main menu). I know there must be a setting for this I'm missing because I've seen people do this on you tube. I've played with all the buttons in the setting screen, but I haven't had any luck. How do I set this up? (I've tried exit emulator which does nothing for me.)
  2. First of all, Tom, I'm not a "millennial". Second, I don't recall ever rating Pinball X; if I did, it was inadvertently and in error. Just needed help with an issue. Obviously, I chose PinballX over Hyperpin for a reason.
  3. PROBLEM SOLVED! Had nothing to do with the game name, as I explained in an earlier post. I was playing around with the settings and I noticed I neglected to change the default executable from whatever is in there -VP 9.0 I think, to the latest version (for VP 9 tables anyway), VP 9.92. That did the trick. So even though the tables loaded without Pinball X just fine, by forcing Pinball X to load those tables through the older executable, they just didn't get along! Makes sense because if you open the old executable file by itself and then try to load a newer table, it usually won't work, either. I guess I just wasn't looking at the whole picture before. So now I'm just left with this weird feeling of feeling very smart and very stupid at the same time... with the scale tipping more toward the stupid side!
  4. Draco1962, do you have any ideas about this? Any news?
  5. Jannek, that would be the obvious solution, but as you can see from this latest log.txt file compared with my tables folder, the names match. This is because I used the "Select" button in game mgr and pulled the table files right out of the folder -no typing involved. Yet the tables still don't load. It has the correct path, but for some reason, won't recognize the file names. log.txt
  6. Added the log.txt file to my original post. Thx.
  7. I am having the same issue, except it is affecting ALL of my tables. I have wiped it out and reinstalled it a few times and each time I get a different result: sometimes game manger won't list my tables, sometimes it will list my tables but not select a rom,; sometimes when I launch the FE, it says there are 0 tables installed, or it shows all of the tables but won't load them -just like your issue. I think there are quite a few bugs in this version that need to be worked out. How do I get a legacy version? Visual Pinball.xml PinballX.ini SetupWizard.xml log.txt
  8. Thanks to the the_ greeze, that vpforums link helped a great deal. All is well now and the earth is spinning back on its axis!
  9. I have tried, and tried, and tried ... and tried. I can't figure out how to make this happen. (And yes, I have read the Pinball X documentation which is less than helpful with this problem. I would be much appreciate anyone who can give me specifics on how to make this happen. Thank you.
