  1. Hi Tom, still dreaming about Score- and playcard monitors. I found a model, that would fit, arround here https://www.elv.de/faytech-touchscreen-monitor-17-7-cm-7-silber-1.html https://www.elv.de/faytech-touchscreen-monitor-17-7-cm-7-schwarz-1.html is there a way to integrate this, would be so cool
  2. HI Tom, thanks again for the great topper add on, I still have to integrate lots of topperes in my system. Do you think it is possible, to enhance PX to more than 4 Monitors? I think, I saw the option t tell the system to display the topper on Mon4 or 5. I am still dreaming of the 5th and 6th monotor, to display the score- and playcards. As I swa, there is a guy, who integrated 2 7 inch monitors, to display score- and playcards. By now, it only works somehow in Pinball FX2, but it would be great to have this working with Pinball X. If you want, I could also be the beta tester, I allready have 2 grafic cards in my system, so it shouldnt be a problem to test the setup. I added some some pictures of his cab, to show you how it is realised. Greetings Kellogs
  3. Hi Draco, no I didn`t. I will have to try this. By now, I am going to make topper Images from the wheel Images I have on my Hard disc. Just as an initial Topper set. I allerady asked noah for uploading them, because I would like to upload them in a pack, and not one by one for 1500 pics. Also I really dont know where I got them from and who is the creator. Just resizign the Pics, until there are more toppers to come. Noah didnt answer yet, but I hope he does.
  4. hi @all, I think I read about the problem somewhere around here, but I don't remember where. The problem is, if there is an image for the topper and if there is a video for the top you can see in pinball X that the top of the video is displayed, but if you start the pinball the top of video gets overlaid with the topper image. That means, you have to remove the topper image to display the top of you. In my case that meant, that I had to remove the topper image to display the video. another problem occurred to me, because if I have two pinball machines sounding similar and for the first one that is no topper image, pinball X just takes the next pinball machines image for the topper and displays it. For example Attack Attack from Mars because attack has no topper image pinball X takes the topper image from attack from Mars. therefore I had to place an image called attack into my topper image directory. I can say if this behaviors just like this with the images, and differs from the videos, because I have no video to test that. it might also be, that it's got something to do because all my pinball machines are named with blanks in the names. could be that if I used in_for example: Attack_from_Mars the problem won't occur maybe in a new release one can fix that anyway I can live with this problem, thanks again for this great piece of software
  5. For some reason I thought, the topper feature is smaller :-)
  6. Hi Tom, thanks a lot for the topper support, works great, allthough it took me a while, to figure out, how it works with two graficcards. In the end I managed it and now I have to build a new Backbox with an integrated topper Screen :-) Greetings from Germany
  7. @ Tom, if you need dummy Betatester, I was setting up a testmachine for discribing the installationprocess. By now, only a 2Screensetup, but no problem, to enhance screens. Willing to test, feed me :-)
  8. Hi Carny I just meant to add some extra directories, beside the other directories inside the VPin-Version-Directorie, maybe like: scorcard and instructioncard. Inside these directories one can store custom or selfmade cards, to explain the machine. Of course, its up to me to scale them, or get them in a format like png or whatever. The point is, on my machine, I have more than 800 machines installed and I cant see in detail, how to play the machine. OK, I could open the instruction card within PinballX. But it would be much cooler, to select a table, see plyayfield, Backglas and DMD pictures and animations, on top the corresponding topper (if available) and on (which size ever) extra Screens the score and intruction card, if available. If not available, there is nothing to see, or just a default picture/video, just the way it is practiced with the DMD video. Some optional screens, if available, to assign to special directories for displaying additional Information, that would be cool. I mean, if Tom can realize it, that a 4th screen is selectable, why not some more screens too. As far as I remember, in setup I have to assign the backbox and DMD to the screens. So why not have some extra screens to be selected if available, only with the possibility to assign certain directories with pictures and videos. i.e. Screen 4 <topper> assigned Dir: /topper Screen 5 <scorecard> assigned Dir: /scorecard and so on One does not have to name those screens, just screen 4-6, only assigning to special directories, thats it. The name should be explaining the use. I bet, a lot of people are using 3screen setups allready, a 4th screen for the topper, not a big deal to upgrade an existing machine. Screen 5 and 6 for score and instruction cards, more difficult, realizable, but maybe not common use. Thats why just have the option to assign these screens to diffrent directories, thats all. by now, I cant imagine any other function for these additional screens than displaying pictures or videos. Maybe in future this might change, but I dont think so. And if people need more screens, there could be a button: "Add additional screen". I am not a programmer, but I think this is just a funktion with a loop. Something like shown in the picture. Either the add button or hard coded. For all those screen, only fullscreen is available. Would not make sense to scale the topper or a scorecard.
  9. Oh, here is a link to the custom cards: http://www.pinballrebel.com/game/pins/instruction/zach/zach.htm http://www.pinballcards.com/ and, if not available, standard cards too: http://www.pinballrebel.com/game/pins/instruction/index.htm
  10. Six screens would be cool. and just like terry said, specify in a custom way. But why 6 screens? Very easy. Screen 1: Playflied Screen 2: Backglas Screen 3: DMD Custom screen 4: Topper Custom Screen 5: Credit card Custom Srreen 6: Score Card Screen 5 and 6 could be very tiny monitors to be integrated in a look like aprom. Have a look at the picture, hope you can recognize the edge I had to built, because I needed some Space for the Buttons and the plunger. Also my playfield is almost 10 cm lower than the edge of the Cab. so please tom, add the possiblility of more than 3 screens to pinballX, it would be fantastic
  11. Hi Tom, here you go: http://vpuniverse.com/forums/files/file/4672-virtual-topper-image-collection-by-rustycardores/ the file contents 100 toppers, just hve a look. Would be nice to add a 4th monitor to display toppers, either a a picture or a video. If displayed, the topper should remain beeing displayed if the pin is choosen to play.
  12. Feature Request(s) Favorites List It is about a year ago, I allready asked for this: Can you implement an Option to which enables the player to vort for the best tables, from within the PinballX menu. I am thinking about an option like in Hyperspin for arcade cabs: L=add to favorite or remove from the favorite list. The list might be dsiplayed in the main menue as an item called favorits or something like that. Maybe one could use the credit button for that. Juts push the credit button in the pinball X menue, displays add or remove from the favorite menu, chose with enter (in my case the plunger button) and rewrite a favirite xml or some other list to the systems database menue. Score- and rules cards to be displayed The second thing I am thinking about is a feature, I have been reading arround here, to display the score cards and rules. Do the codegods arround here see a possibillity to enhance the wheel with the rule cards and the score cards? Maybe in a way that the wheel image of the selected table is still as big as it is now, the wheel images of the previous and next table are displayed smaller and, if there are score- or rulecards, these cards are displayed in the left and right corner of the wheel. Something like shown in the picture. Would be nice, to download real or custom cards into an extra folder of the media menue of the different systems. That would enable to store different tables (VP, VP99 Night Mods and so on) with diffrent custom cards. If there is no card, nothing is displayed. I known, these cards are allready in the mediapack, but maybe the Visual Pinball section could be enhanced with to new subdirs like Like score cards and rule cards, or maybe better with wheel cards left and wheel cards right. And the other benefit would be, that one does not have to switch to the pinball X menu, to read the rules and come back again. It would be just like the real machine. You chose, read the rules, play.
  13. Feature Request: is it possible to add the feature of voting a table form within pinballx by now the ranking has to be done in the XML-list. Maybe it could be something like a shortcut or just a parameter within the config file, that if enabled, shows the player an extra menue on table exit, asking him to rank the tabel. One could make that with the flipper buttons, right butten for up to 5 Stars, left button down to 0 Stars. And maybe there could be some menueitem called highest rated tables or "Show table ranking" in the way of: PinballX Mainmenue +-- 70's tables +-- 80's tables +-- ... +-- Show table Ranking +--+-- 1 Star +--+--+--some table +--+--+--some other table +--+--+--some other table +--+-- 2 Stars +--+--+--some table and so on
