  1. Fixed!! It was the Samsung Magician software for the SSD. It has an option to not run at startup so I turned it off and PinballX quit minimizing. After some Googling it appeared that everyone that was having this issue with some program or another always eliminated some startup app and it fixed the problem. You just have to find the guilty party. Anyway, it's fixed!!
  2. Used group policy editor and diabled shake. No go. Still minimizes. It does the minimize immediately after the sound bite stops on startup. I didn't think of it but I will go into settings and turn off the sound bite and see if it does anything. Probably not going to make any difference. Anybody else got any ideas? I've dug thru the background processes and sevices and nothing seems out of the ordinary. I guess I'll do some more Googling :-)
  3. I did a little Googling and I think this might be an Aero Shake issue. In Win 7 if you shake a window the other windows in the background minimize. The startup music on PinballX is quite loud. It may be enough to shake the nudge sensor and cause PinballX to minimize. I found a regedit to turn off Aero Shake. I will try it tonight and see if it solves the problem. I will post the result tomorrow..
  4. When it booted last night it wasn't giving me the 1.95 is available like it did the previous night. Something was definitely crossed up there. Re-installed 1.95. Still minimizes after a boot up. Here is the log after a boot up and PinballX has minimized to the task bar..
  5. I noticed the 1.94 last night as it was telling me that 1.95 was available. I downloaded and did the upgrade to 1.95 a few days after it came out. I'm not sure what is going on now. WTF, I'll download and do the update again tonight and see what happens....
  6. Okay so here is my log contents after a fresh boot and PinballX has minimized to the taskbar..
  7. It was on normal window so I tried maximize. Same result. I also took the shortcut out of startup and set PinballX to start with windows in the settings program. It took longer for PinballX to start on a boot up but it still minimized after about twenty seconds. I looked for the .ini file but couldn't find it. All there was was some high game .ini's. I looked in the log file and nothing looked amiss. I went through the background processes and services that are running and nothing looks awry. I just got this machine running on a fresh install of windows about a month ago so there isn't a lot of pollution going on. The only startup programs are AVG and the Samsung SSD software. It did not do this until I upgraded from 1.94 to 1.95.
  8. Well GameEX Guru that was it. Talk about making a mountain out of a molehill. I haven't used that feature much and it never even crossed my mind. If I was at his machine I probably would have thought of it but over the phone I was confused. Problem solved thanks!! Any idea on why my 1.95 installation minimizes itself to the taskbar on a power up of the machine. I have the shortcut to PinballX in my Startup folder. Machine starts up, PinballX starts up and is ready to go then minimizes itself to the taskbar after about twenty seconds. I have to alt tab or click it with the mouse to bring it back up. After that it's fine. It's also fine if I close the app to say add a table and then reopen it. It only does it on a fresh boot.
  9. Already installed 1.95. Didn't solve the issue. It was running without the Codecs but we can try that. I will have him send me the ini and log file tonight.
  10. I recently installed PinballX 1.94 on a friends Win7 64Bit PC with an Nvidia 750GTX 2GB Video Card and an I5 3.4GHZ Processor with 4gb Ram. Not sure if any of that is pertinent but I thought I would get it out of the way. Initially it worked great. I dumped around 100 tables from my setup onto his PC and after some tweaking all 100 showed up and were playing without issue. I then taught him how to add tables using the Game Manager and while I was there I think he downloaded and added another 10 without issue. Last night (I wasn't there) he added Xenon with a b2s backglass just like I had showed him. He started PinballX and it showed up fine. When he went to start the game it flaked out and crashed and he had a hard time getting out of PinballX. When he restarted PinballX only four games were available. He said he had started Xenon first in Visual Pinball and it ran fine. Over the phone I had him look manually thru the visual pinball.xml and it looked fine with no corrupted entries. I then had him load up game manager and everything shows up fine. All the games are checked as active and everything looks normal. He can start all the games from the game manager also. I had him delete Xenon (the last entry) but it had no effect. We looked in the log file and compared it to mine (over the phone) and everything seemed okay. I emailed him my xml file to see if it would load up normally. With mine he had six games available. We put his xml file back and installed 1.95. Same result. I'm at a loss. I thought I had a pretty good handle on how this all works but I can't figure this one out. We haven't installed any Codecs as 1.94 suposedly doesn't need them and didn't as everything was working. Does it use Flash? Maybe his Flash got corrupted? I'm grabbing at straws. I searched thru the forum and all I could find was the Codec issue. Help...
