  1. I had GameEX running on my 7" EEEPC. It ran well enough, I didn't take any pictures though. The button layout on your sony looks superb for gaming! My EEEPC just had a regular keyboard/touchpad, I had to use a USB Xbox360 controller.
  2. When i first registered GameEX i used it exclusively on my HTPC running Windows MCE2k5 I have the Gyration Mouse and Keyboard (Kinda expensive, about 70-100$ for the set) but the range is AMAZINg and the gyroscopic feature works really well, the only issue is make sure you set the mouse down upside-down when not in use or else the battery will discharge in 5 minutes. GameEX works AMAZINGLY under MCE. I also used Pinnacle Gameprofiler, which unfortunately costs 20$. I'm sure you could just edit the advanced controls under GameEX to get navigation working anyways. (The only reason i used pinnacle game profiler was because I also had PC games which i mapped to my Xbox360 Wireless controllers)
  3. you should put your latest nullDC findings in your sig line (Like the link you just gave me) I literally read the link, slapped my forehead, made the changes, and in about 40 seconds It was up and running perfectly.
  4. much appreciated, sorry for the headache of redundancy I tried to use the search function I swear (I am an administrator of a huge airsoft forum so I know how annoying it can be) My apologies, and thanks for all the help.
  5. The Map Keys option was already enabled, do i have to configure which Keys it sends? When I press ESCAPE the screen displaying the game dissapears while the audio still plays, but the nullDC application is still in the task bar, along with gameEX. Also: I am using the Loader for nullDC 1.5 to launch the emnulator here is my key layout:
  6. Just tried it outside oif GameEX and the issue is NOT present. I searched the forum and did not find any entry for "Map Keys" is this a setting in GameEX or NullDC? my hardware is: AMD Athlon64 3000+ 1GB DDR 3200mhz 250GB HDD SATA Nvidia 6200 128MB iPac controller board wired in a X-menvs Street fighter cabinet
  7. I got the Dreamcast emu NullDC 1.6 working under GameEX almost perfectly. (Besides not being able to exit) Here is my issue, when playing Marvel vs Capcom (Or any game that requires 3 punch buttons to be pressed for the super moves) they don't register, AND if i press a buncha of keys the character starts running on auto pilot for a while. It ONLY happens under NullDC so perhaps it is just an issue with the joystick plugin emulation?
  8. GameEX is by far one of the best pieces of software I've come across in a long time. It is well worth the 25$. It works wonders when integrating in a HTPC or a Mame Cabinet. I use an iPac and I absolutely love the integration GameEX gives me for my cabinet.
  9. Just started happening, today I loaded up Guardians / Denjin Makai II MAME Rom and played for a bit, then I pressed Escape to exit, and when GameEX came back up, i couldn't control any of the menu items. which is weird because if i pressed ESCAPE again, it would exit gameEX as if the inputs were working fine. (I'm using iPac controller board in MAME Cabinet.) any ideas? I tried searching the forum but I wasn't sure what to search for.
  10. You are my hero. Thanks so much. I guess that's what is meant by "Shift" function, thanks for specifying that the 1P input.
  11. Perfect, I had No idea. You sir deserve a cookie. Thanks for the other tips as well some really good ideas (Pause button especially) Q for Shaunopp: How did you wire your inputs? Did you hack a keyboard or use an interface controller board like an iPac? I want to do something similar to yours but am worried that I will be limited by my iPac board. Maybe you can give me a clue on how I could set this up? Here is a shoddy image of what I want to do (for visual reference)
  12. I Have an i-Pac I to control the joysticks. But That still doesn't address my concern for control options. Should I just Install a button maybe up on the top of the cab to Exit the current game? I was just looking for ideas what other users have done. In my MAME research online nobody really goes over how they navigate their systems (generally they just recommend a front end), mostly I assume because many mention installing a keyboard tray which they most likely use for navigation? and a keyboard, is what I am trying to avoid.
  13. I got an Xmen vs Street Fighter Cabinet last week. I Gutted most of it, and have the following hardware Installed: AMD Athlon64 3000+ 1GB DDR 3200Mhz RAM 250GB SATA HDD Nvidia Geforce6200 LE 64/128MB Windows XP Pro SP3 GameEX (Latest) Registered I was wondering who else has used GameEX for MAME Cabinets? What methods/Controller schemes are you using for navigating the GameEX Interface? (For example to Exit back to GameEX from a ROM) When I originally donated I was using it on my HTPC, and I had it implemented well on there for a while. (I was using XBOX360 Wireless controllers) The Joystick Layout now is a regular 6 button/1stick x2 configuration found with most Street Fighter Cabinets, plus 1p and 2P buttons. I have 2 other Yellow Buttons to Insert Coins for 1P/2P Any tips on what has worked well for you, The space on the joystick-area is limited so I wanted to avoid installing more buttons. EDIT: This just came to mind, Perhaps map ESCAPE to a button combination that requires input from both 1p/2p sides in order to exit the loaded ROM?
  14. HA thanks so much, I already purchased a License a few weeks ago, so maybe someone else should receive it, but If i do get it I am sure I have a friend that would love to use the software. I Honestly just wanted to let you know how much I appreciate the work you've put into the software. HAHA EW.
