  1. Sorry, forgive me for my utter lack of knowledge on cmd lines and so forth, So what i think you a referring to do is create a bat file that will effectively create bat files for my rom/files in my Rom folder. This is an example of my current Bat file lines that i use. [ C:\Emulators\Project64\Project64.exe C:\roms\N64\Roms\Conker'sBadFurDay.v64 ] all my N64 roms are in one folder and most will use the same emulator. ''I gather that from your post that you have a single game directory? First you would write out the contents of that directory to a text file:'' ok i managed to do that ''Then assuming that your bat files use a common command structure, you could read in the contents of the text file you created line by line (using a for loop as Han suggested) and use variable text replacement (as Adultery suggested)'' Got a bit lost on what to do on this one , ill do some research n see if i can figure it out. EDIT: so i have created that txt doc with all my rom names, and have called it roms.txt, then from what i gather i create a BAT file with this line '' for /f %i in (roms.txt) do @echo %i > %i.bat but yea im not %100 sue what im doing or what this does or how i should be doing it lol. EDIT2: !!!! did it with this LINE for /F %%i in (roms.txt) do @echo %%i > %%i.bat well i created a bunch of bat files all named by the roms lol, noticed some had the file extensions and some didnt, i need them to have file extensions other wise the emulator dosnt load the rom, also the line in the Bat files is just the name of the bat file itself. Also noticed that the bat files that were created are not the exact same same as whats in my roms.txt file, i guess because some of those roms have spaces it creates two bat files for one rom if it was for example '' 1080 snowboarding '' it would create the bat file call 1080 and snowboarding lol. still its progress, ill keep researching.
  2. That all sounds interesting. . Ill have to have a look when I get home. Thanks for the replies
  3. So ive been using steam as a front end recently. Pretty simple tido by creating a bat file with the directory of the emulator and the directory of the rom. What I was wondering is there a tool out there to make this process quicker. Currently I copy my bat file then edit the game name in the game directory line then save as the games name then add it to steam. But doing this for every game would be a long processes if only I could right click n auto make a bat file lol.
  4. Oh also while I was at it finally manged to work out how to launch 1964 with comand lines.... the spaces in my Roms name was stuffing me up
  5. Ok so ild say im relatively new to gameex and front end and cmd lines lol... Anywho I have a few mates coming around tomo and I havnt fully got my gameex setup... infact I just updated it and lost most of my progress lol... Now I have steam and have added a few "non steam games" to my list before its realy basic, so this then got me thinking. ... how could I individualy add n64 games to steam. So I googled around and came across how todo it by creating my own bat file to launch with steam, with these basic lines ( start c:user\shaun\desktop\pj64\project64.exe c:user\shaun\desktop\pj64\roms\Goldeneye.v64 ) . Now this is all probly pretty simplez to you guys lol. But anywho all I wanted to do is add like 5 n64 games into steam with this process, just a couple games that we will play this weeknd. So I did this and got it all working Then I was like cool now lets try it in steam big picture mode! Ild then go to launch the game and yea the game would work but the steam big picture would always be on top... so that got me thinking what is going on here? ? So what I found out by my self was that for example when you launch a game/application in big picture the game/app loads and is always on top then once you close the game steam big picture is on top, so what was happening was big picture would load the BAT file then the game would start on top only for a second because the BAT file auto closed wich then made big picture then be on top and made the emulator minimize. So I was like shiet... I got no knowledge of cmd lines or anything how am I ment to make a CMD not auto close.. so I googled around with ppl sugesting type pause at the end of your line and a few other things, after trying these processes and failing I was like what happens if I delete the " start " part on my line. .... and bam now when I open up the BAT in steam big picture it stays open then launches the emlator then closes when I close the emulator and back to big picture. .. Just thought ild share my experience ; p
  6. That sounds epicly epic lol. Hmmmm using xpader could be a good idea but I like to have my joystick on my controller emulate the joystick... rather than have the joystick emulate buttons that emulate the joystick... . Coz there is a difference right, if im not mistaken? ... dunno lol ill do some testing.
  7. Having a few drinks this weekend with abit of retro gaming. I ordered a wireless receiver for my 360 controllers and some retro link controllers n64. .. and just my luck they arived today just in time to set them up for my weekend. . Super pumped. So I will use my wireless 360 controller for games that are not n64.. apart from marioparty and international track n field coz those games are controller destroyers. My setup is almost complete now... Next all I need is some light guns n maybe some more retro link controllers. . Will post vids when its set up
  8. Cool thanx.. yea im looking at purchasing the aimtrak's there's a store in the eastern states in AU that sell them, rather than paying an arm n a leg for international shipping. Will probly be playing time crisis and vampire hunter with them, untill I get venturous and try out other games. Thanx for your feedback tho.
  9. Ok so I want to play some classics like time crisis 2 and house of the dead but I want to use a gun... can someone recommend a gun to buy/use?
  10. I3 4150 gtx 750ti 4gig ram dual channel... all on a mini itx board in a mini itx coolmaster case. Was suprized it run so smoothly at 4x native but I was just like testing and wanted to see if it could. Fairly suprized with the gtx 750ti it does not need to be plugged into the psu for power it draws it from the mobo its super quite and have yet to see if it even gets hot. I have DBZ BT3 on ps2 is it worth getting it on dolphine??
  11. Setup dolphin last night with mario kart and super smash 4x native res at and 2x AA n was still smooth at 60fps... was very shocked how well everything runned. What are good games to get for the dolphin emulator I never play any Wii or GC games

  13. " Gonetz (co-creator of Glide64) just launched an Indiegogo campaign to finish his new plugin, GLideN64. Sergey "Gonetz" Lipskiy is working on a next generation graphics plugin for Nintendo 64 emulators and is currently targetting Windows, Linux and Android. It will bring more accurate frame buffer and depth buffer emulation and many other features currently not supported by existing graphics plugins. He hopes to be able to work fulltime on the project with the help of an Indiegogo campaign. His goal is to make the best HLE graphics plugin, highly accurate, fixing many of the issues that plagued other plugins, including his Glide64, and he wants this information spread as much as possible, as he now has a crowdfunding set up: https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/gliden64-graphics-plugin https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zfc25748uzQ Many games like Majora's Mask (Lens of Truth), Perfect Dark (CamSpy), to name a few, but the biggest glitches that have plagued N64 emulation will at long last be fixed, if the funding goal is met. You can get beta access starting from $15 USD. He also has stretch goals for completing the Android port, porting to OS X, widescreen hack support, advanced AA, rendering in native res, and other stuff. At current stage, with the limited time at his disposal, it shall take ages to bring this new project to the right level. That is why Gonetz request help to take few months full time to develop his new plugin through a crowdfunding. Please consider supporting this superb work! " Would be fantastic if this reached its goal, just look at those screen shots!
