It has taken me years to get to the point where I had some spare hardware to run this all properly in my cabinet I built but now that it's all configured it was completely worth it. An amazing experience and I feel tremendously proud of how this helps me celebrate a childhood spent in many an arcade and playing on loads of systems either at home or a friend's house.
  1. Nevermind, did a new install in another directory and worked out which files were in play
  2. Had something go awry with an external drive I was using and some stuff got corrupted. Re-installed the Arcade Edition which I'd had working before and reconfigured what I'd lost... but now everything is blowing up when I try to open pretty well anything with an error dump. Attached from the point it blew for reference, but the main thing I'm seeing is that database disk image is malformed and wondering what I can do to remedy that, starting fresh if need be. 3. OK, figured it out, they have to be installed in the main Steam folder with the primary install, they can't be in a path on another drive. Thankfully the games I can play on my cabinet should be small enough that it won't be a big deal. Thanks for the help, was good to see it does work for some reassurance I wasn't just wasting time.
  4. This is a bit more fundamental for the moment, I don't get a list of games (just the Redistributables which I mention below) but I see no means of providing a path or anything of the sort. Saw an old thread where someone had put their link urls that would kick things off into a folder but I don't see anything now over a decade later for configuring that so I assume it has been integrated somehow. I saw mention of a steam.ini file in another thread, but I don't have one and not sure what I could do with one from scratch if there's some guidance for that. I do see a steamdatav2.ini which I've also attached, it's just what was naturally in it, not a game obviously, but on my Steam menu that does show up. Just feels like I'm missing something key, but as much as I've looked around or toyed with what limited things I seem to have control over nothing has seemed to help. 5. Been a long while since I started up GameEx but I'm moving a custom cabinet I built with my father-in-law into my office and have a spare PC to run everything properly. Most of the info on Steam is now pretty dated, with Valve having even added things like two-factor authentication to the mix of things. Is there a known way to get the games to load, nothing I've seen so far seems to be currently applicable.
