  1. The fix was to change the visual pinball .exe to run in NT compatibility mode All works perfect now!!!!
  2. Hi again I have checked the resolution settings but as I said before the backglass fits perfectly after tables load but the "no backglass" image on the table selection screen does not fit the screen, I have not seen any separate settings for the backglass on the table selection screen so if that exists please could you tell me where to find it? As for resizing the .png file in paint, I have tried that but no matter what size I change the image to it remains the same size on the backglass. I have tried making it HUGE in paint and resaving but it makes no difference. However the .png I'm using for the playfield background during table selection has no problem at all with resizing. It seems to do it automatically without any issues apart from slightly stretching the image that is hardly noticeable. But even when I put this image in the backglass it too resizes back to the small size? It seems that there must be some kind of automatic resizing going on but I can't find settings for it anywhere? Thanks for all your help over the last couple of days. you have been a diamond Kind regards Witse
  3. Hi again I thought I better explain my reasoning for wanting to rectify this. I want to create a custom backglass to always be displayed during table selection. I have just also read that there is also support now to display .mp4 files on backglass during table selection which could be great for what I want to use it for. I'm guessing though that the size issue will apply to the .mp4 too Please if anyone has any info you will help me a great deal. Kind regards Witse
  4. Hi Everyone I can't seem to resize the "No backglass" image on the PinballX table selection screen. The default size only just covers the top left corner of the screen, All other db2s backglasses appear the correct size when tables are loaded. Please could someone tell me the process of resizing so that the " no backglass" image fits the screen in table selection mode? Kind regards Witse
  5. Thanks for all suggestions but I'm gonna link f3 to a button on the front of the cab for now! That seems to be a good enough fix for now!
  6. Hiya That script u link to I have already tried. It makes the dmd appear but the backglass disappears? Everything running as admin. I use db2s backglasses now but this happens with uvp too. I can't post the script now but will try to later The version of pinmame I use is marked as the cabinet version.
  7. Hi again I had the problem with the DMD not staying in the place I left it but that issue has been solved. My screens are configured the correct way round with the playfield as display 1 to the left of the backglass which is set to display 2. I have the latest Pinmame cab software downloaded yesterday from VPforums. I have used game manager to unhide the DMD and Backglass in all tables. I have both exe files to run as admin. I just don't know what to try next. From what I can tell the DMD loads first, as it's the first thing I see on any screens when Visual Pinball starts. Then the backglass appears covering over the DMD image and hiding it from view. One press of f3 returns the DMD to the correct position but after exiting the table it does not save in this position. The next time you load the table the same thing occurs. Can anyone suggest a method of delaying the DMD from loading until the backglass has appeared? This is the only thing I can think of that I have not tried That's for taking the time to read my post. If anyone has any ideas please let me know as I'm desperate to have this working correctly before I can finish my cabinet. Kind regards Witse
  8. Hi Everyone I have been having a few problems getting PinballX running but I'm glad to say that I am almost there I have come across what I think is the last hurdle which is proving to be a hard nut to crack. When I load a table in PinballX / Visual Pinball the DMD loads on the second screen but is then hidden behind the backglass image. I am able to get the DMD to the front by alt / tab, However the DMD will not remain in that position after I close and reopen the table. I have tried moving the DMD after bringing it to the front then clicking on the playfield and then back on the DMD before closing the table as suggested in another post but that did not work either. Please if anyone has any ideas on how I could approach the issue your input would be greatly appreciated. Kind regards Witse
  9. I'm really sorry if this comes across as stupid but Games Manager? I have not come across this before could you let me know what you mean?
  10. Hi Everyone I am really excited to check out PinballX after using Hyperpin for some time. Today I have downloaded the latest version and installed and configured it with visual pinball (to the correct folders, exe etc) but whenever i try to load a table it jumps back to the table selection screen. It seems to try and load visual pinball but can't? I have had a similar error with hyperpin before with an error in the database that I found and fixed, The database file I am using now works without any problems in hyperpin and have copy and pasted it into the PinballX Visual Pinball DB folder. Please could anyone suggest anything that could cause PinballX to behave this way or any ideas on how to rectify the problem? Kind Regards Witse
