    GameEx Duplicate MAME displays

    Hello:

    In my "Emulated Games" section under my MAME tab emulator, I show approx. 8827 total game files, all pics, videos, etc.  But nothing launches or works from here..........

    However if I go to the direct MAME folder, I show approx. 2500 total game files, all pics, videos, etc.  Everything works from here.......

     Very odd, appears I have some duplication???  Is it common to have a MAME rom set with some inoperable files in my case only 2500 of 8827 actually work?

    I have  version .151 Mame and .151 Roms for this version.

    Only actual ROM names display on front end

    Hello:

    My front end displays only the actual ROM name and not the actual game name. Based on my Google search on GameEX and this topic; I narrowed it down to needing a map file with proper settings.

    Here are my two problems.

    1. I can login in to the GameEX forum site, but not the GameEX website.

    2. I found the support files section at the GameEX website; but cannot download any files (yes, I was NOT logged in at the time, so presume that is why I get a return webpage that says: "403 - Forbidden" (which occurred when I tried to get this which I also need:

    Controls.ini
    Provides information about the controls used by MAME games
    Allows GameEx to create and display a control panel for games.

    3. Regardless, I did not see any map files in this section. I have .151 Roms at this time.

    Any help is appreciated.

    I was trying to reply that i have the same problem. I am new to forum scene, do not generally use, but as a registered user, I think I will be. Here is the error message I got. If this is the wrong area to post, sorry.
