What does it actually display though? That may seem silly, but I don't want to go through the process of hooking up another monitor w/out knowing how/what information it displays. Does it just show the game you are playing, does it display high scores or statistics or is that more or less up to how you set it up? That's what I have not been able to find out. Thanks.

I just upgraded GameEx to the most current version and am still having similar problems. When I exit a Pinball Table, it goes back to GameEx, but the pinball table is running in the backgroung. I have to exit GameEx and then manually shut down the pinball table. My config is the identical to what's been posted and I've tried all the suggestions that I have found on the forum. Another thing that I noticed is that after updating to the new GameEx version. The Pinball Tables in my favorites are not the same table that plays (i.e. when I select Dolly Parton-yes I play that - from the favorites menu, it is a completely different pinball table. I figured I would just remove them and start over, but I thought I would make you aware of it. Thanks.

This may sound like a silly question, but what do I do with the plug-in? Just insert it in the CFG file of GameEX or in Zinc, or do I need to use it as a key to customize the existing CFG files. Sorry if this is a simple answer that escapes me, but I am new to changing configurations and the like.

Thanks. I did try the plug-in, but it is not compatible with a Betabrite. Thanks to everyone for their help...

It's kind of a pain in the rear to get going. They have a config pinned on the forum and I just copied it, changing the drive letters to match mine.

Well, yes as far as how the games run. It seemed to run the newer games a lot smoother and seemed to solve some of the sound issues, but I still have a problem with it hanging up when I am trying to exit the Pinball game and no one has posted a response about an answer (which I am unable to find on my own). Sorry, that's not much of an answer. Yes it makes tables work better, but No, it still has problems with GameEX.

I had to updated my Visual Pinball to vp7 (which fixes a lot of audio problems, by the way), but now the Autoexec script hangs up when I exit a table out of GameEx. It seems to exit fine, but the table is still loaded and I have to exit GameEx to close the table. When I try to play another pinball table, it hangs up GameEx. Does anybody have any suggestions? Thanks.

I had to update my Visual Pinball to vp7 due to the expiration date, but now the Autoexec script hangs up when I exit a table out of GameEx. It seems to exit fine, but the table is still loaded. When I try to play another pinball table, it hangs up GameEx. Does anybody have any suggestions? Thanks.

Man, that looks like it's going to be great for the masses to use. Thanks for the hard work and I am looking forward to trying it.

There are a few companies that I have found that produce graphics for arcade cabs. Try: http://www.mamemarquees.com/multi-mini-mar...bezel-p-75.html and I believe the second is: http://classicarcadegrafix.com/ There may be more, but that is what I've found. Good luck.

I wasn't aware of such a thing. Where do I find that?

Can the viewer actually be used with an LCD display? I've got a Betabrite up in my marguee and that would be awesome to have it show what game is being played or whatever information the Viewer displays.

If you have images in your snaps folder, GameEX is pointed correctly to the snaps folder and they are still not showing up, make sure your image names match that of the games (ROM or VPT). Mine didn't until I renamed the ones that didn't match. Man, that's a good time... Good Luck.

I have done the mapping with the joysticks through MAME and not had a problem. I've also mapped both the first and second player joystick to the same joystick (so you have to switch positions) and not had any problem. Just map the keys through each individual game in MAME.

Dont' feel bad, I've done the same thing...

I whole heartedly agree! It's nice to see such quick and dedicated response. That's a rarity in software.

MAN I'm thick!!! Never mind, I forgot that I changed resolution and it created a second configuration page. Wow, what a week. Sorry, everyone...

I just got finished putting most of my CAB together and am now running GameEx full time (instead of shutting down the computer when I am done). Is there a way to turn the sound off when GameEX goes into the attract mode during standby? I thought there was an option for this in the earlier versions, but for the life of me I can't find the option in the latest version of GameEx. Thanks.

I KNEW is was something simple. Thanks a bunch!!!

I am reinstalling GameEx on a new computer and accidently deleted my config's from the old computer. I can't get Daphne to run and couldn't find any settings in the pinned config's post. It sees the games, but when I go to run one, it go black and then comes back to GameEx. I know it's something stupid, but didn't know if anyone would be so kind as to post their Daphne config. I can't post how mine looks now because I am at work... Thanks in advance for your help.

It appears to be the same case on my computer, but I just installed GameEx on a whole new system, so I haven't been able to test it extensively. So far, though, it appears that it runs just fine with the new drivers.

Right on, thanks! That's what I was looking for. I didn't want to hassle with taking it back if it didn't make a difference. I didn't know whether it was a "hog" or not, that's just what I heard, not that I believe ALL locker room talk... Thanks again.

I was given a copy as a gift, that is why I was going to use it, but if it is a system hog, then I will return it for XP. That is why I was curious.
