  1. OK... got it working eventually! I had to delete all registry keys for the batmanf rom under pinmame. Nothing else worked. No idea which setting was actually hiding it but I don't even care anymore. It works
  2. Did you have the "hide pinamame" enabled at anytime in PinballX? It worked for me fine from VP before I launched the table from PinballX with the "hide pinmame = yes" option. So I'm just wondering if PinballX writes this somewhere in the registry and the "normal" ways of enabling the pinmame don't work anymore. It's not dB2S related because I tried directly from VP without the backglass and still it's hidden I may have missed something still... going to try again this evening!
  3. Newest versions of PinballX supports "hide pinmame" option in the settings. Which is a really nice addition... However with Batman Forever I would really like to show the pinmame window in addition to the real DMD due to the higher resolution of the original DMD which makes the lower resolution Vishay look like crap for this game. I was testing it directly from VP and after I started the table from PinballX -> pinmame window was hidden as expected. Now I just can't get it back anymore. I have tried at least the following - Hide pinmame = No in PinballX settings - Controller.hidden = 0 in the table script - Controller.ShowDMDOnly = 0 in the table script - DMD = VIsible in the dB2S settings (for the table) - Running table without dB2S backglass But the pinmame window stays hidden... any ideas how to get it back? Is there any possibility to add an exception for specific tables?
  4. Would it be possible to add native support for multiple VP versions? I know that it's possible through adding different exes as different systems but I'm having some difficulties getting it working properly and it's quite time consuming to keep track of multiple xml files. It will get worse in the future when we may have to run dx7, dx9, physics mod, and vp10 beta versions side by side to get the best out of VP. My suggestion is to have a new xml tag for VP. For example to use the default exe defined for VP in the settings (this would be always used if specific exe not defined): <VP_executable>DEFAULT</VP_executable> Or if you would like to run a specific table with a physics mod version: <VP_executable>vp_physmod5</VP_executable> Or <VP_executable>vp_921</VP_executable> etc. This would provide a really simple solution for using multiple VP exes. No need for multiple xml's or separate text files (like with Hyperpin). This could be easily supported in the game manager as well (I would think).
  5. Just wanted to say thanks for this feature! Works really well and makes a huge difference. Really nice work. Also thanks to Sigma for sharing the DMD videos!
  6. Looking very... very good! Can't wait for the release and see this in action with PinballX in my cab. Thanks in advance!
  7. OK. I guess I missed that then. I will check it out. Maybe as a future feature it could work like in hyperpin that it automatically creates the file to the media folder with the correct description name. So when you exit the table the image is already in place. Thanks!
  8. Should the playfield screenshot be saved automatically to the media folder for the table (like with Hyperpin)? I have tried pressing the screenshot key (mapped to "O" on my cab) but I don't get any screenshots (with VP tables). Is there some sound or sign in pinballX to know that the screenshot has been taken (like the shutter sound with directB2S screenshots)? Right now I don't know if the screenshot is triggering at all. Not a big deal (everything else is working real nice!) but would be great to get this working. Using Win7 64bit with GTX580 and latest drivers.
  9. Has anyone else noticed a small bug in the Gamelist Manager that doesn't close the <menu> tags correctly when saving the file? I'm using the latest 1.41 version. Every time I save changes to my visual pinball.xml -> I need to go and manually edit the <menu> tag in the end of the file to </menu>. No big deal but just something I wanted to report.
  10. Trying to get this working for hours now... any attempt to launch "pinball fx2.exe" directly results to a crash ("pinball fx2.exe has stopped working etc."). I have tried steam in online and offline mode. Using Win7 64bit. If I start it from the desktop shortcut or from steam -> works fine. With PinballX I can get it started using steam.exe with the -applaunch option. In that case PinballX returns on top after few seconds and FX2 minimizes and loses focus to background. So not really good option either. Also tried setting table specific xml but with same results. Any steps / settings I may have missed? Does launching the "pinball FX2.exe" work directly for everyone else?
