sure does, chap. And only getting worse. Did source a UK image, but no just simply wont install for s***. Wondering whether it's hardware. Terrible do, given that I do need to get it reinstalled somehow to restore 15 years worth of files. 

Yeah - taking my life into my own hands and downloading an English image from a torrent as we speak - that is in the absence of any kind of support from M$ what so ever (despite paying a lot of money for their OS). No downloadable image available - wtf!? All kosha too - have my licence key etc. 

Got the iso/usb install thing down eventually, although that was incredibly unreliable and mysterious.  And of course, like everything else on the web - everyone's an expert and no=one's wrong (folllowing 4 bad installation guides b4 finding an accurate one!)

Yeah. Problem being no image I created earlier! I thought with all the duplication (of drive pools) everything would be safe. Didn't think about the system, drive! Too late - system drive wiped now and about as useless as a traffic warden in a hurricane.

Long story. Lots of Windows systems files corrupt. 4x attempts with M$ got nowhere. Finally this am, server wouldn't boot. No option but fresh re-install (no repair with WHS2011). Had to buy German install disk few years ago b/c of some crappy licencing + releasing by M$ a few years ago. Thus, been battling with a greman, flakey install all day - getting nowhere. When asked, M$ saying they do not have a digital copy of WHS2011!!!??? Asked on specific WHS fansite for english install disk on proof of key. Miserable b*****ds there didn't help a jot. 

Absolutely gutted - designed my whole setup around my server; no sleep for 2 weeks trying to get it finished + on the day where it was all going to come together (back to work tomorrow :() it all goes to shit instead.  

I admire the resolve of you guys who work in IT. They drive me absolutely potty. 

Ahhh - I couldn't quite afford a Hakko - they did look good though. This one (tenma) however is great +  great value. Also, it's heaven after using cheap, crap low- watt soldering irons for years

Interestingly, I have 2 weeks off and a bit of a bathroom revamp to do myself... DIY...coding...DIY...coding...hmmmmm. Oh I know! Coding..

Urgh - .net My.Settings sucks for anything beyond saving your name. Save yourself time + deliberation - custom settings class using ini/xml or registry.

Today I'll mainly be bug hunting....

Heh. Nice one + thanks. Found couple of libs for getting/sending keystrokes - biggest issue was trying to make sense of Vcodes vs KeyCodes + left/right modifier keys. As ever, after 3 days of swearing and bashing my desk, eventually got there. Onto making custom collection classes now. Which is faster access? Datarows or collection classes?
