  1. Mornin. So - I have a custom graphic that shows my cab control panel with the functions of each button. Wanting to display this whilst users are navigating around the main GE screen. However, can't find a way to do this. Running two monitors and have GameExtender running too. Have custom graphics selected in GExt and each emulator setup pointing towards the relevant graphic for those. But can't find any equivalent for the main GE interface. Any ideas?
  2. Heh. Imagines a big Tescos order on the midnight oil and java beans. Look forward to any preliminaries.
  3. So with under 3 months to go before GE Evo is released... ...are we gonna get some teaser trailers? btw - can I keep this nice Elite hat or do I have to give it back now?
  4. Adultery, my dear chap... I know you're terribly busy with other things. However - when you return to GamInfo, I wonder if there is any way to make the "show controls/CP" function work in the general GameEx interface? I need to display a graphic displaying the keys to use within the GE interface, and can't find any other way to do this. Can't find a way to do this via GameExtender either.... tootle-pip
  5. RESOLVED Thanks to NullPointer - here's how to do it: Just launch the application from a .bat file. Make sure you put in Also Launch as other two are monitored by GE
  6. Null... Kudos!! Worked a treat. Large bag of peanuts award!
  7. Null - yer a star - that makes perfect sense... lemme give it a go...
  8. Still wondering whether this is possible. Would be good to know - even if it's not so can pursue other avenues...
  9. Yeah thanks Hans, I considered that. But as aforementioned - wanting the user to be able to stop and start it at will... if used that method, would have to restart GameEx every time wanted to restart the cabcam. Hmmm... am I missing something really obvious??
  10. Not really Tempest. I'd like the user to be able to choose when they stop and start the program - from the gameex interface. Just tried via the additional programs menu, but minimises gameex. basically, want to select something in gameex, which runs the program in the background... letting you continue to browse GE. And the same with stopping
  11. Thanks Null - looks good. Was thinking about this. If I treat launching a bat or link (which launches the exe) - is there any way to stop gameex shutting itself down and waiting for the exe to finish? Basically, all I want if for GameEx to launch (of kill) the exe as a 'background process' and carry on its business as usual (without waiting for anything to happen with/to the exe)???? Any ideas?
  12. Cheers Hans. If there was a way I could get that out of the emulator group, that might work....
  13. Blurgh. A full weekend on my cab and NOTHING went right at all. I'm filing for divorce...

Wow null, that was pretty epic. ;)

  14. EDIT: RESOLVED: Here Hi folks, Is there any way to do this? I am trying to launch a small application that takes time-lapsed photos via a webcam. I am using this: http://code.google.com/p/chronolapse/ I want to be able to stop and start it at will from within the GE interface. I tried setting it up as an additional program (can't remember the proper name of this - but sits in the menu with screensaver, theme picker etc) The problem is, it robs focus from GE, as launches window on desktop. The developer's been great - trying to get it to launch "hidden" without robbing focus, but I think this is proving a nightmare for him. I can write 2 bat files: one to launch the app and one to kill it. However - is there any way to force gameex to maintain focus when the app is launched (killing it doesn't effect focus) I did try /min /hide etc in the bat, but didn't stop it robbing focus. I relaise that focus issues are probably the bain of you guys' lives!! Thanks
  15. Yerp - that'll be it Adultery.... showing as beta when gameex launches - although it's super stable for me. thanks as ever for a cracking plugin
  16. Same prob with GE updating reverting from working plugin version (1.2.6b3), here: http://www.gameex.info/forums/topic/11433-plugin-game-info-plugin/?p=117316 To version 1.2.6, which crashes gameex when using hotkey to display control panel. Tom emailed
  17. Whaaaa!!!! Had headache today of the problem of the "cannot run process" happening all over again. Looking into it - I think a GameEx update reverted it to the buggy version. Downloaded the above (1.0.6) + it works great again. Adultery - is there any way you can speak with Tom to make sure updates don't revert plugins to buggy versions? I'll drop Tom a line too Other thing is - the download on the initial post is still 1.0. (which gives same errors) - might it be worth changing this to the new one? Thanks
  18. Oh... kudos for both the word-play and social referencing... Disturbing cross-over of images though.... (Mario vs ref'd scene)
  19. Lightguns, MAME and bloody random port allocations.....

  20. I got a NVidia. When I finally chose the right one, it works like a charm with PCSX2 and Dolphin. No idea what number it is, I'd have to look that up! It's stuck in there and it works:) One prob though - I think I was having problems with the video on PCSX2 'jumping' and got half-way down a research trial explaining that this is a prob specific to NVidia cards... I beleive there is a workaround somewhere - I got distracted by something else at that point! Now I just play jumpy Tekken.
  21. Nice editing Yerp - system watermark would be good. Use system vids in screensaver - and be good to ID the system playing....
  22. Kudos to garage cockpit man. When you starting your build, Vorstoss??
  23. I prefer "Rotten" Mind you, I do enjoy seeing a good set of roms...
