  1. I've noticed from time to time that my settings for backglass, dmd, and topper have to be changed and haven't figured out if it has to do with different versions of PinballX, or perhaps how PinballX gets it's data. Maybe due to Windows update or video card driver update. For instance the starting point for backglass, dmd, and topper all have to be set to 0,0 and then their resolutions set. In the past, I had to set backglass offset to playfield, so starting point would be 0,3840. dmd and topper offset would be combination of playfield and backglass, so 0,5760. If anyone knows how or why this might change, it will help me be prepared going forward if I know the flow of information.
  2. Correct. I'm just not sure why it doesn't let you browse to the tables so you can select the name needed, instead of manually looking for it through explorer and then typing it in. When you say fx3 there is nowhere to browse to, there is Steam\steamapps\common\Pinball FX3\data\steam which is where the tables are located with the correct names.
  3. I created a dmd.bat inside the dmdext folder that looks like this- dmdext mirror --source=pinballfx3 --position 0 0 1024 272 --destination=virtual --virtual-dotsize .8 --virtual-position 5760 0 1366 350 --quit-when-done Your virtual-position will be different than mine. 1st # is how many pixels from your playfield monitor, #2 is how many pixels down, #3 is width of your dmd screen, and #4 is height of screen. If you haven't made a .bat file, let me know. In PinballX setup under Pinball FX3 I have a lauch before enabled Put in the path of dmdext, enter the dmd.bat fpr tje executable I think I had launch before hide window to Yes. I don't know as I don't use it anymore because my Launch before setting are taken up by DOFLinx
  4. For whatever reason the manager doesn't let you click add and browse to the tables, so you have to add them manually. It's easier to use a database xml that someone else has created, but for some reason I can't attach mine or I would give it to you. You can manually add entries. It's located at PinballX\Databases\Pinball FX3. Just right click the Pinball Fx3.xml and click edit with notepad. Just copy an entry that works and paste it directly below, then just change the name and description. Name must match the table name that Zen gave it. You can find the names wherever your steam installation is like: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Pinball FX3\data\steam Here is an example for Adventure Land. Zen has some weird names for their tables that don't match such as Looter is a game name but it's actually Epic Quest. <game name="Amusement_Park"> <description>Adventure Land</description> <rom></rom> <manufacturer>Zen</manufacturer> <year></year> <type></type> <hidedmd>False</hidedmd> <hidetopper>False</hidetopper> <hidebackglass>False</hidebackglass> <enabled>True</enabled> <rating>0</rating> <gridposition>1x1</gridposition> </game> Once your done editing the pinball fx3.xml you can go back to game manager and change settings or add media as you will see the games now.

I can tell you it starts up a lot faster. I still have issues with table videos at 4k though. This is with a 980ti and very low bitrate videos at 30fps. I shouldn't say issues, but it is noticeably slower than when the videos are 1080p Not a big deal, as I'm converting them all to 1080p, but it would be nice to have vlc or something else in the background playing the videos.
  6. Thanks! For some reason I can't just browse to add a table with game manager, so I have to manually add these to my ini
  7. It seems no matter how I record playfield videos there is an issue when VP tables and FX tables are on the same wheel. As long as it stays VP tables, there is no issue. Or if they stay FX tables no issue. It's only when going from one to the other that the video stops, gets squished to the right side, and stays that way. I can still scroll through games, but the image is stuck there. I feel like I've tried just about every combination of recording options in OBS. Latest is simple CBR 2500 in mp4. See screen shot.
  8. One of the biggest issues I have seen with upgrading from 7 to 10 is anti-virus software. If you do use any, I would uninstall it and then try troubleshooting steps. Once everything is working, then reinstall. Along with all of the dll checking, make sure to check any downloads or future downloads. Right click the downloaded file and select Properties. If you see an Unblock text in bottom right, click the checkbox to unblock it. This will help going forward. Especially on zipped files. Unblocking the zipped file unblocks everything inside. Location of files. Don't install anything pinball related inside program files. Just throwing that out there in case. Do a Disk Cleanup on C: drive to make sure everything is cleaned out there first. Then download DOF R3 and install again.
  9. Thank you sir for making that clear.
  10. Thanks for the work rablack97. Are you sure there are spaces in A New Hope, Empire Strikes Back, The Force Awakens, and World War Hulk? Just getting to rename stuff and wanted to make sure. Thanks!
  11. Great work Namsan. I really like the Skyrim one.
  12. Yes, please report back. I'm trying to configure the same thing.
  13. Which emulation? Virtual Pinball? What OS? Make sure all dll's and exe's are unblocked by right clicking on them and selecting properties. Look to see if unblock is necessary. Make sure everything is set to run as administrator.
  14. Amazing how much hardware you get for such a low price. I have a feeling you won't be able to keep it stock and you'll want to add a 2nd screen, led's, flipper buttons, some flipout legs, etc.
  15. As an update, Antimicro worked perfectly for the 12 buttons and joystick I have. Thanks Carney_Priest! For Mame I did have to select 1 for joystick in the mame.ini, and then assign the buttons by hitting Tab and then go to Input General. Mame didn't respond to mapped keys, which may have something to do with having a keyboard already hooked up. In VPX I did have to change one setting for right flipper. It had one of the joystick buttons set for tilt, so just changed the button assignment.
