  1. One the command line parameter for the pcsx2 emulator, try adding the parameter "--fullboot" without the quotes. Not sure if that is it, but it may be. Also, do not post "no one seems to care"...especially after you blasted the admins private messages last time for help. You can be active in the forums while being polite. As I said in my post here four weeks ago, sometimes you may need to nudge a post requesting help...but don't put all of the blame others when you ALSO chose to let it sit for four weeks.
  2. @decadave972 Please do not PM forum members for troubleshooting help unless they ask you to. GameEx has always been about forum members helping others voluntarily. Sometimes forum help slows down during the holidays as well. You may have to be patient and occasionally nudge posts. Personally I have been away from the GameEx scene for a while due to 'real life' stuff, but I don't mind lending a hand if I have time. Either someone else or I will likely continue to help sort out your situation. I am not familiar with Cemu or WiiU emulation, but I did a bit of searching today to help give you some direction. Before talking about rpx files, I should mention that from what I have read, Cemu does support wux and wud files. You may want to test that out within Cemu in case you can use that format. I believe the configuration in GameEx for wux/wud will be very easy while rpx is more difficult...and mixing the two would even more difficult (or impossible). If you want to move forward with troubleshooting the rpx setup, please do the following: Try running a WiiU game using GameEx and let it fail. Exit and close GameEx Post the log.txt file. Hopefully it captured something useful. Post the gameex.ini file I know that you have posted these files before, but these updated examples will tell us what is happening now as you may have made changes to your setup since you posted them last. Next, my understanding is that the directory structure for WiiU games using rpx is quite different from other games. There is a 'code' directory where the rpx file resides, I take it? Please provide a directory path to the rpx file of the WiiU game you attempted to run for the log file. For example, C:\Roms\WiiU\BreathOfTheWild\code\filename.rpx. Also, if you look at other games using rpx, is the rpx file name always the same or is it sometimes different? Thanks.
  3. Glad you were able to get it figured out. Thanks for letting us know in case another member encounters a similar issue with that machine.
  4. Cool. Hopefully your support journey will not be too difficult. Good Luck.
  5. @Ravco, tthurman is referring you to VPCabs support because the option to enable or disable the coin button does not exist within GameEx. If there is some sort of shortcut key to do so, it is related to either your remote keyboard or some other software running on the machine. If you read the manual, VPCabs is the distributor and/or warrantor of the machine. Within GameEx, the input command setup controls navigation within GameEx, but not for the games. GameEx is an emulator launcher. Once the game is launched, control is passed to the emulator and the settings within the emulator are what dictates how the buttons and joystick will work. If your cabinet is running arcade games, most likely it is using an emulator called MAME (Multiple Arcade Machine Emulator). I will mention that there is an option within Mame setup called Free Play (I believe) that will disable the need for coins. After launching a game you can press Tab to enter the Mame Setup and then check the Global parameters. I will also mention that if you are not familiar with configuring Mame, take great care while you are in the Setup. A miskey there can cause a lot of headaches. Contacting VPCabs really is the best option for correcting your issue.

Hi agalloway. GameEx does have a karaoke option, but it is somewhat basic. If you are just looking for stand alone karaoke software, try the KaraFun Player.
  7. I can jump in and try to help out here... Im a support member and i wanted to know how can i up date this manually... GameEx Arcade is specifically set up to not update automatically. If you wish to update to a newer version, download the install file and install it over the current version. You can find that file here. ...how can i up date...the game list...im unable to add any more games to retroarch or mednefen... When setting up Mame in the integrated Mame setup (found in Mame Settings), it is the only emulator that needs to have a list of games generated. I looked at your Mame Settings in the GameEx.ini file and I cannot tell if you are using Mame. Would you please let me know if it was your intention to use Mame and if so, what version the exe is and where you got it from (because there her been a lot of Mame variations over the years). We will probably want to address that in a new thread. As for adding games to Retroarch and mednefen, I see you have these set up in the Emulator Setup area. If you have your settings configured properly, the games will automatically appear in the gameslist when you run GameEx Arcade. ...and its also not giving me my art work like it should i had to do it myself... The Emulator Setup uses the database to help identify titles for the artwork download. I noticed for both Retroarch and mednefen that neither has a database selected. It looks like you are using Medafen for Sega Saturn and Retroarch for Dreamcast. There are databases for each of those. Please set those databases and see if you receive assets. Please note that the GameEx databases and the EmuMovie asset databases are always a work in progress so some artwork could be absent. If you receive assets for at least one title in the gamelist then you know the artwork download is working. ...im unable to add any more games... The list of games you see for each emulator are based on the file extension you set in the Rom Filter in the Emulator Setup. For Retroarch, you are using *.gdi. This looks good if that is the only extension those games use. For mednefen you are using cue. You should change this to *.cue. If you have romsets with more than one type of file extension, then you can do something like this: *.cue; *.iso Some roms have multiple files and are often placed in their own folders. If you use this setup, please be sure to set Scan Sub Folder in Advanced Emulator Setup to Yes. By the way, if you make any changes in the Setup Wizard, be sure you do not have GameEx Aracde running. Save and exit the wizard and then run GameEx. You should see the result of your changes right away. ...if the newest one runs better let me know!!! I have a feeling that most or all of the items you are having difficulty with probably come down to getting the configuration setup properly. At this point I do not think it is necessary for you to upgrade to GameEx Aracde 16.97. However, later versions do generally contain fixes so it does make it easier on us when you are at the latest version...and as I mentioned above, upgrading is as easy as installing the new version over the old version. Other considerations... Lastly, we understand it can be frustrating when dealing with multiple issues at one time, but it is very helpful to us if you make one post for each issue. Working multiple issues in the same post can not only lead to miscommunication, but when the next guy comes searching for solutions in the forum they have to work three times as hard to weed out helpful information. Don't worry about it for the time being for this thread. I think we can get you going in the right direction rather quickly....and if things get confusing we can split the threads then. Thank you. I hope this 'stuff' helps clear some things up for you. Let us know how it goes or if you have any other questions.
  8. The configuration search covers GameEx. You are not using it wrong...it just wasn't specifically geared to GameEx Arcade. So, if you try searching for a parameter on the GameEx Wiki and are unable to find a corresponding parameter in the GameEx Arcade Setup Wizard, then the parameter does not exist in GameEx Arcade (unless, of course, Tom Speirs, the dev, has secretly added it 'because he wanted it'...lol...it's his baby, so Tom does get to do what he wants to do...). So, to disable Mame in GameEx Arcade, find your gameex.ini file in the GameEx\CONFIG folder. Search for 'disablemame' and set it to 'true'. As Tom pointed out, you do need to have the latest GameEx Arcade installed.
  9. @darkdracoTo add to Draco's reply, the wiki you are looking at was originally made for the standard GameEx. The Disable MAME function IS available there. However, the GameEx Arcade version (which is an off-shoot of GameEx) does not have the Disable MAME function. When GameEx Aracde was initially released, it was focused specifically on arcade games. I do not recall if non-MAME emulators could be used at that time. However, GameEx Arcade has evolved since the initial release and has gained many of the same features as the original GameEx. As Draco commented, you certainly may post a request to add the Disable MAME function to GameEx Arcade. Alternately, you could switch over to the stardard GameEx. Keep in mind that you can have both installed at the same time as long as they are in different directories. Each will need to be configured separately, but they can both use the same art assets, roms, etc.
  10. I've not used Mupen64 myself, but I found this with a quick googly search: Evidently Mupen64plus includes a config file mupen64plus.cfg. One of the line items in this file you can set is Fullscreen = True or False. See if Mupen64 has this. If not, you might try Mupen64plus.
  11. Hi mrscsi, The assets come from emumovies.com. GameEx has an agreement with emumovies to provide basic assets free of chage with a GameEx License. For some GameEx members, the free emumovie offerings are all they will need for a nice looking setup. However, emumovie members also have access to additional assets that go beyond the free offerings GameEx provides such as higher resolution assets, video themes, and a bunch of other stuff. If you go this route, you would need to manually place (or replace) the assets in your setup. Emumovies relaly is a nice one-stop-shop for picking up game assets...and they add and update content all the time.
  12. Hey methodman, It would probably be helpful to know what emulator and game system you are trying to set up.
  13. Hey ClassicGMR, You have your Mame Path set to "C:\Emulation\ROMs\MAME". Does your MAME folder REALLY reside inside the ROM folder? That seams odd, so just double checking. If that isn't it, you mentioned MAME32.exe working outside GameEx, but the log shows you are using MAME.exe, not MAME32.exe...so does MAME.exe workoutside GameEx such as using a batch file (if you are familiar with setting up batch files).
  14. Very cool. Thanks for letting us know.
