  1. IT WORKSSSSSSS!!!!!!! HOOOORAAAAYYYY!!!!!!!! Thank you all so so so so much!!!! I'm so pumped it works!!!!!
  2. Getting soooo much closer!!!!! I had to fix the syntax, the correct one is "path_to_dtlite.exe" -mount -0, "path_to_cue" This works, in that the disc image now mounts and the exe starts! Which is great! Butttttt (there's always a catch, right??)... Now I have a brand new issue. The exe starts, which begins with a menu screen that says "Play Game," "Install Game," "Remove Game," etc. If I pick "Play Game," that window "closes" and the actual game is supposed to then open... but it goes back to GameEx (with the game running in the background). So basically when I pick "Play Game," instead of keeping focus on the game, it returns to GameEx. New can of worms!
  3. Yeah it's a weird setup. The exe runs the game, but only correctly if the bin is mounted first. So what you suggested may work, I just don't know how to specify the path with the mount command (the exact syntax).
  4. Hey! Couple questions... What's the correct syntax for the mount command with the path to the iso? It's not listed in the documentation, it just says [dtloader]. Where would the path to the bin go in relation to that? In brackets? Quotes? In the launch after, would I just put /u ? Again, what's the correct syntax here? Sorry if these are really lame questions, I just have no clue and I can't seem to find an example with this use case. Thanks so much... EDIT: Also, do I put these in the GameEx setup, or in the Virtual Drive Loader options? What items (if any) will I put in the Mount Command / Unmount Command in the VDL options?
  5. You got it, Adultery: The disc has to be mounted first, then another exe has to launch (not the iso). Thanks!
  6. Hi Adultery... You said ssf, but what's that? I think you may be looking at the sample config nullPointer posted? It's kind of funky the way the game has to work. The disc has to be mounted, and the game has to start from the exe on the HD, so a lightgun patch can work.
  7. I configured the plug in as per your example, attached is a screenshot of how I set it up. Attached here is the log in debug mode...
  8. No problem. All it says is... 2/6/2014 11:26:39 AM : Virtual Drive Loader (Version: 1.0.9)2/6/2014 11:26:39 AM : 13.21 INITIALIZED OK!: GameEx2/6/2014 11:26:39 AM : XML: XML file was loaded OK!2/6/2014 11:26:39 AM : INIT PLUGIN: Initialization completed!2/6/2014 11:34:02 AM : Exiting GameEx...2/6/2014 11:34:02 AM : Later!
  9. Attached is my gameex.ini, is that what you need? It's emulator 15 for House of the Dead 3. So essentially, when I start the game, here's what has to shake out... First, GameEx has to mount a .bin located here: C:\Program Files (x86)\SEGA\THE HOUSE OF THE DEAD3_EU\Hotd3\rld-hod3.bin Then, it has to run the exe located on the drive (not on the CD) located here: C:\Program Files (x86)\SEGA\THE HOUSE OF THE DEAD3_EU\hod3launch.exe Hope that makes sense... basically I have the emulator set up now but it doesn't mount the .bin (with the game installer / start game window, when I pick play game, it prompts me to insert the cd). Thanks again for your guidance...
  10. You're right, look for CD was turned on. It's off now. So now what happens is the exe launches, but the game gives me a prompt to insert the CD. Attached is my log and runitgame.bat Thanks so much for your help... log.txt runitgame.zip
  11. This isn't working. GameEx comes up with an error that says to insert the CD...
  12. Ah! Been using GameEx for like 5 years now and didn't know that existed. Question: The exe to launch is in one folder, and it has to mount an .bin in a different folder. What on earth do I put for the Mount Command? Really confused. Just need the .bin to mount, then the exe to launch. I tried putting "[path to the bin's folder]\[cd.bin]" but this most certainly did not work... Wish the documentation had some sample use cases, so I could just copy the format.
  13. I have that installed, but have no idea how to access it. I see it's just a dll that goes in the plug-ins... what do I actually do with it? In the screenshot I see a Virtual Drive Loader app, but there is only a DLL with the download, not an exe...
